• I choose this critter because I thought it was pretty looking.

Body Shape.
• The body shape is like a long oval kind of.
Color.
• The color of the insect is like a metallic green.
Habitat.
• They live inside Ash trees.
What it eats.
• They eat the inside of Ash trees.
Life Cycle/Type.
• They generally have a one year life cycle, that can be extended to two years.
• These insects overwinter as full grown larvae in chambers under the bark of ash trees.
• They pupate in early spring • They emerge as adults, leaving D-shaped holes. • Adults emerge any time from late May to August.
How long do they live.
• They live for a year and then die.
Why is it important.
• This beetle has killed millions of ash trees.
• It is one of the most destructive beetles found to trees.
