SND-2748,SND-2707,SND-2706,SND-2743

When multiple users log in and access the EMC M&Rpage at once, some of the users encounter issues loggingin and seeing the reports. M&R goes into anunresponsive state because of concurrent databaseaccess to see report data by multiple users. In some cases, the report displays the error message:Msa Get TypeInstances OperationError. Type: ICS_UserProfile . Causedby: No such property: StackTraceUtilsfor class:com.emc.msa.dmt.dmpool.MSADMTContext

Changes in the mashups have been done toinvoke the user-profile url at start-up whileinitial loading of the view. Changes also includethe view specific code change so that thenotificationList parameters are passed afterretrieval from the first invocation of themashup CheckProfileValidityMashup. Thishelps in avoiding unnecessary mashupinvocation to ICS_User Profile urls. Also, theAlertView and MasterDetail dialog do profilevalidation only once as part of the parent viewand not every time by each of the child views.

There is no workaround available.

SRS-20567 Reports do not display data after upgrading to version3.7 of the SolutionPack.

The metrics and data have been normalized in version3.7 to be consistent with the other SolutionPacks.Once the new collection starts, data will getpopulated in the reports.

SRS-13047 The SQL Collector does not support SSL. SQL Servercollection uses the open source jTDS driver, whichhas an inherent bug with SSL support (see http://sourceforge.net/p/jtds/bugs/725/).

There is no workaround available.

SASP-2082 In Traffic Flows, Elastic search resource configuration cannot handlelocalhost. While installing SolutionPack, all the Elasticsearch-writerconf files need to be updated with IP/FQDN, instead of localhost.Following is the list of files:

l conf/ES-DW-FLOW-ALLPORTS.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-APPLICATIONS-TOPN.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-CONV-TOPN.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-DATA.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-DSTADDR-TOPN.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-HOSTS.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-NOSNMP.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-PROTOCOLS.xmll conf/ES-DW-FLOW-SRCADDR-TOPN.xml

For the workaround, you need to updatethe elasticsearch.yaml file

under /opt/APG/Databases/Elasticsearch/Default/conf with

the proper IP address of the host. Also, while installing the SolutionPack, ensurethat you provide the appropriate IPaddress or FQDN of the host in all blocksof the SolutionPack.

Problem description Workaround/Resolution

SASP-1737 While upgrading from EMC M&R 6.6u1 to 6.7u1, the migration scriptis run after the SolutionPack installation to update the new columnsadded in the latest version. While running the migration script flow-database-migration-V2toV3.ddl on 6.7u1, following error occurs:

an error occured executing query 'CreateTable('FLOW_TOPINT_TOPN0', [nullable 'TMSTMP' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'FLOWID' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'PKTSIN' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'PKTSOUT' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'PKTS' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'BYTESIN' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'BYTESOUT' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'BYTES' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'ROUTER_SRC' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'INTERFACE' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'PROTOCOL' ssht 'AUTO', nullable 'L4_SRC_PORT' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'L4_DST_PORT' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'DST_ADDR' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'SRC_ADDR' slng 'AUTO', nullable 'PORT' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'ROUTER_SRC_NAME' varchar(128) 'AUTO', nullable 'SNMP_NAME' varchar(128) 'AUTO', nullable 'IP_TOS' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'DSCP' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'DSCP_ECN' sint 'AUTO', nullable 'APPLICATION_ID' varchar(128) 'AUTO', nullable 'APPLICATION_NAME' varchar(128) 'AUTO', nullable 'APPLICATION_DESC' varchar(128) 'AUTO'])' !

This is due to the column which was not existing in the previousrelease and the script is trying to update it. The migration script isdescribed in the EMC Service Assurance Suite 9.4.2 SolutionPack forTraffic Flows Administrator Guide for EMC M&R 6.7u1.

Ignore the error: No impact on productfunctionality.

EMP-2120 Some fields in the SolutionPack forTransaction windows require additionalinformation in the pop-ups.

HTTP Transaction: Only use the Cookies field for a sequence ofdefined HTTP transactions. In this field, type the ID of thetransaction that was ran earlier in the sequence. The Transaction ID

appears in the Main Parameters window of the transaction in the

Transaction Collector Configuration Management interface.

SIP Transaction: The Pause Duration field is the time delaybetween the remote address sending the first OK message and theBYE message.

Problem description Workaround/Resolution

FTP Transaction: If the Upload a file Command Type is used,

then the Local File Name field is mandatory. Specify a local file to

upload. This supports a regular expression (regexp). If CommandType is Retrieve File/Directory, then the Remote Target field ismandatory. Specify the resource on the remote FTP server for

command execution. Verify the Remote Target has enough space

for the file or directory that is being retrieved. MD5 Hash isoptional. The value can be populated with the expected MD5checksum value for the specified file. For Upload, the hash iscalculated before uploading the file on the FTP server. For RetrieveFile/Directory over a single file, the checksum is calculated once thefile download completes. No hash validation is performed on RetrieveFile/Directory over a directory or during a Delete. Similarly to thehash attribute, the match attribute allows you to specify a regex tomatch against the content of a specified file.

SFTP Transaction: You can perform authentication by setting a

password in the configuration file or specifying a private-keyattribute to indicate the path to the file containing the private keyused to connect to the server. When using the private-key attribute, you can specify a passphrase to decrypt ProcType: 4,ENCRYPTED,DES-CBC, DES-EDE3-CBC, AES-128-CBC, AES-192-CBC, and AES-256-CBC.

For more information about these transactions, see the APGTransaction Collector Administration Guide in the /APG/Doc folder of

your installation path.

EMP-2121 Data collection is not running or doesnot start and the latest reports are notavailable.

The file system where the EMC M&R platform is installed may be outof space. To check the file system utilization, do the following:Linux:

1. Run the #df -k command.

2. Check the available file system space for /opt/APG.

Windows:

l Check the available file system space by going to Start >

Computer.

Note

Always identify the SolutionPacks whose directories consume themost space and refer to their respective SolutionPack documentationto see if you can remove any logs or temporary data. Alternatively, you can increase the size of the file system in which a SolutionPack iswriting data.
