4. Evaluation during Immunity Tests

4.1 Function Test

Verification of correct function was carried out before and after each immunity tests.

4.2 Criteria of acceptance

4.2.1 Performance Criteria of the standard, EN 55024

Criteria Description

A

The EUT shall continue to operate as intended without operator intervention. No degradation of

performance or loss of function is allowed below a performance level specified by the

manufacturer, when the EUT is used as intended. The performance level may be replaced by a

permissible loss of performance. If the minimum performance level or the permissible

performance loss is not specified by the manufacturer, then either of these may be derived from

the product description and documentation, and by what the user may reasonably expect from

the EUT if used as intended.

After test, the EUT shall continue to operate as intended without operator intervention. No

degradation of performance or loss of function is allowed after the application of the

phenomena below a performance level specified by the manufacturer, when the EUT is used as

intended. The performance level may be replaced by a permissible loss of performance. During

the test, degradation of performance is allowed. However, no change of actual operating state

or stored data is allowed to persist after test.

If the minimum performance level or the permissible performance loss is not specified by the

manufacturer, then either of these may be derived from the product description and

documentation, and by what the user may reasonably expect from the EUT if used as intended.

Loss of function is allowed, provided the function is self recoverable or can be restored by the

operation of the controls by the user in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Functions, and/or information stored in non-volatile memory, or protected by a battery backup,

shall not be lost.

4.2.2 Particular Performance Criteria of the standard, EN 55024

Criteria Description

A The EUT shall maintain the specified printing quality and normal operation

6. EMISSION TESTS

6.1 MAIN TERMINAL CONTINUOUS DISTURBANCE VOLTAGE

6.1.1 Test setup

The EUT was placed on the floor as typical applications. Power was fed to the EUT through a 50 Ω /

50 μH + 5 Ω Artificial Mains Network (AMN). The ground plane was electrically bonded to the referenc

e ground system and all power lines were filtered from ambient.

The test set-up photos are included in appendix I.

Used Software for measurement is EMC 32 supplied by Rohde & Schwarz.

6.2.1 Test setup

The EUT was placed on the floor as typical applications. Power was fed to the EUT through a 50 Ω /

50 μH + 5 Ω Artificial Mains Network (AMN). Telecommunication line for the EUT connected to associat

e equipment through an Impedance Stabilization Network (ISN) which has a common mode termination

6.3 RADIATED ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD

6.3.1 Test setup

The radiated emissions measurements were on the 10 m, semi anechoic chamber. The EUT and all local

support equipments were placed on a non-conductive turntable approximately 0.1 m above the ground plane.

The frequency spectrum from 30 MHz to 1 000 MHz was scanned and emission levels maximized at each

frequency recorded. The system was rotated 360°, and the antenna was varied in height between 1.0 m and

4.0 m in order to determine the maximum emission levels. This procedure was performed for both horizontal

and vertical polarization of the receiving antenna.

The test set-up photos are included in appendix III.

Used Software for measurement is manufactured by TSJ.

6.5 VOLTAGE CHANGES, VOLTAGE FLUCTUATIONS AND FLICKER

6.5.1 Test setup

The voltage changes at the supply terminals were measured across the complex reference impedance Z = (0.4

+ j0.25) Ω.

The short-term flicker values are measured during a time interval of 10 min. Dc = relative voltage change

between two steady states and Dmax = maximum single voltage change, are measured over the reference

impedance. Long-term flicker values were measured during 120 minutes.

7.3.2 Test setup

The EUT and all cables to the EUT were placed on non-metallic support 0.1 m above a reference grou

nd plane (RGP) and were put into operation according to the specified operating mode.

The minimum distance between the EUT and all other conductive structures (e.g. the walls of a shielde

d room), except the ground reference plane shall be more than 0.5 m. Unless otherwise specified in th

e product standard or the product family standard, the length of the signal and power lines between th
