The course introduces topics covered in greater detail in other Data Domain courses. The course includes the following topics: Introduction to Data Domain inline deduplication systems and how they address limitations of conventional backup and restore. The Data Domain product line including: product overview, system capacities, common hardware features, and system differences Data Domain operating system including: system login, management and licensing options overview Data protection features including: hardware redundancy, autosupports, alerts and file protection features Audience This course is intended for individuals who desire an overview of Data Domain features and functionality. Prerequisite Knowledge/Skills To understand the content and successfully complete this course, a student should have an understanding of computer storage, networking and backup concepts.
