NATIONAL POETRY DAY

Autumn Leaves fall from trees so tall,

Colours of red, orange, brown.

The ginger fox gives out a wintery call.

And the sunflower petals tumbled down.

Squirrels find some food to store,

Conkers, chestnuts and much, much more.

Shrews trot along the golden, dusty moor.

Hedgehogs sleep and peacefully snore.

Children play in leaves of red,

And others pick them up.

Badgers snuggle in their bed,

Underneath the warm muck.

Silver frost upon the leaves,

Dew of crystal clear.

The spider has a web it weaves,

A comfy home so dear.

Rivers glitter like sequins.

The harvest moon in the sky.

Winter will be coming soon,

Good bye autumn, goodbye.
