Embassy staff are currently located at Hyde Park Gate but by 2017 will have taken occupancy of a new building within Embassy Gardens which will stand on the site previously earmarked as a hotel.

The news comes in the same month we completed a timely handover of the US Embassy site to the US government.

It takes us a step closer to making the place you live a thriving area which will become one of London’s most important geopolitical districts as well as undoubtedly having a positive impact on your investment.

Agents around London confirmed it was the best performing residential development of the last year and that 60% of the homes were sold to UK based buyers. Investors from Asia, Middle East and other global markets bought the remaining apartments.

Our Chairman Sean Mulryan says: “I am delighted that Embassy Gardens has sold out so swiftly, but given the standard of this proposition and the excitement from all of our customers who wanted to be part of London’s third city and a bustling new geopolitical district, it doesn’t come as a surprise.”

“As we intended, Embassy Gardens is going to be a thriving community rich in diversity and your neighbours will be a mix of families and young professionals. Thank you again for purchasing your home here and choosing to be a part of the journey.”

If you still want to move to or invest in Embassy Gardens you’ll be pleased to hear that phase 2 will launch in 2014. Register your interest now by emailing us on [email protected]

Embassy Gardens broke new records last month when it was revealed that all homes in the first phase had been sold.

New bridge linkPlans have been announced for a cycle bridge across the Thames which will link your home at Embassy Gardens – and the whole of Nine Elms – to Pimlico.

There will be a design competition later in the year, at which architects and engineers will be invited to submit their ideas for what the bridge will look like.

Nine Elms wins regeneration accoladeIt has been announced that Nine Elms on the Southbank has secured the number one spot in Planning Magazine’s list of the Top 100 regeneration projects in the UK.

Your home is one of 16,000 that make up the entire Nine Elms area, 2,000 of which form Embassy Gardens alone. It’s plain to see what an incredible impact the area’s going to have not just on London, but on the UK as a whole.

Helen Fisher who is Programme Director for Nine Elms said: “This is a great achievement as it demonstrates the extent of the work planned and shows the industry that we are open for business.”

Northern Line extension update Recently Transport for London (TfL) submitted a Transport and Works Act Order (TWAO) to the Secretary of State which, if approved, will give them the required permission to carry out the Northern Line extension. It marks the start of a statutory consultation on the extension which will run until 18th June. There will be lots of events hosted by TfL during this time and you can find out more about them by visiting the website tfl.gov.uk/nle.

Damien Hirst moves to Nine ElmsDamien Hirst, one of the UK’s most celebrated artists, is also moving to the area.

He’s opening a brand new gallery in Vauxhall which will house 2,000 of his personal artworks and the best part is it’s all just a ten minute walk from your new home. The gallery, adding even more cultural delights to your new neighbourhood, will be located on Newport Street and is expected to open next year.

Leamouth IslandOne of the most exciting projects on the horizon is the creation of 1,706 apartments, an arts centre, gallery, restaurants and shops on an island like site at the mouth of the River Lea. Here, we are planning a cluster of buildings which will range from a 3 storey energy centre to a number of 19 storey residential buildings.

BrentfordPlanning permission is currently being considered for the development of this site, which will create almost 1,000 homes and 130,000 sq ft of commercial space – for which we are already in high-level talks with some fantastic occupiers.

Arrowhead QuayWorking with our architects Glenn Howells, we have submitted a planning application for a new high quality residential development at Arrowhead Quay. The new development will stand just south of Canary Wharf, familiar territory for us and home to many of our award winning developments. 792 spacious apartments will be created in two towers which, at more than 50 storeys tall, will give residents some spectacular views of the city.
