received . Please contact the school if you have any query

re. this matter. The money that is collected by this scheme

is used in the school garden.

This is our 15th year of our Christmas Annual and we are extremely

grateful to all the businesses in Clonakilty who support us every year

by placing advertisements in the publication. The money raised by

the Annual is used to pay for ink etc for our printer which is used by

all the children and staff of the school.

Please encourage your child to put something into the magazine - it

could be a joke, a puzzle, a story, a poem, a picture, a crossword - in

fact anything at all will be considered. Just please follow the rules

below:

1. Please put your name and age at the top of the article.

2. If possible write your article in Times New Roman, size 10.

3. When naming your story put your own name in the file name

- in case another child has the same story.

4. Don’t have the story too long - as there is limited space.

5. Send in your story - by email if you wish - to …...

[email protected] or type it in your classroom

and the boys in Rang 6 will help you to save it.

Thanks to the boys in Rang 6 who are helping each class with the

magazine, thanks also to the teachers, SNA, Finbarr and Thelma for

their assistance. Below is a list of the boys who are helping the class-

rooms:

Editor: Paul O’Regan

Reminder:

As we told you recently a number of boys in the

school are allergic to nuts and for them any contact

with nuts or products containing traces of nuts can be

dangerous for example NUTELLA!!!!

Please give your children water to drink coming

to school - not sweet or fizzy drinks. Also please

avoid crisps and chocolate products.

This year’s First Holy Communion will be held on

Saturday 21st of May at 11.00 a.m. in the Parish

Church. No date yet for First Confession or Class

mass.

Confirmation is being held on Tuesday 22nd of

March.

If your child has been baptised outside of the parish

of Clonakilty you must send in a copy of his Baptis-

mal Certificate.

If you have not done this already (most people did it

at enrolment) please do so immediately as the child

cannot receive the Sacrament of First Holy Com-

munion or Confirmation without this document.

This year due to the fact that the hall is out of action until after the Christmas Break (because of

our new classroom being built) we are unable to hold Christmas Concerts.

Instead we are going to hold a Christmas Carol Service in the Parish Church on the 7th of De-

cember at 7.30p.m..

It will be organised in the following groupings:

Juniors and Seniors Infants

Rang 1, 2, and 3

Rang 4, 5 and 6

Thank you to Elaine Connolly | Karen O’Regan | Maire Houstoun | Sarah O’Brien for coordi-

nating the service and to the staff of the school for preparing the children.

Children will be asked to wear appropriate costumes and it would be appreciated if you could

assist with this.

There will be a collection at the door for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. On the night we will

also light the Remembrance Tree near the Post Office.
