Our General English program is designed to improve your practical communication skills in the key areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The program consists of core units and electives. It is suitable for students 17 years and over. You may begin this course on any Monday.

Our Academic English courses are designed to provide you with the language and academic skills needed for further studies in Australia.
These intensive competency-based programs cover key study skills such as note taking, presentation skills, report writing, reading and understanding academic texts.
Academic English
In most cases, successful completion of an Academic English program at ELS Universal English College means that you will not be required to sit an IELTS, TOEFL or other formal English language test before undertaking further studies at one of our pathway partner institutions.
By studying Academic English you will:
• be prepared to undertake further studies in various institutions
• be able to take advantage of our many direct entry pathways to universities, TAFE NSW and other colleges
• be taught by experienced Academic English teachers
• have access to advice from our Further Studies Coordinator

Our HSP is a full-time course with 22½ hours of tuition per week that prepares students aged between 13 and 17 years from elementary to advanced level to study in high schools in Australia.
High School Preparation
By studying on our HSP program you will:
• be fully prepared to succeed at high school in Australia
• be taught by a very dedicated team of teachers who really care about your success
• be able to package your English course with a NSW public high school course
• improve your general English ability for your life in Australia
• learn subject specific language for your high school subjects
• take part in sporting activities on Fridays

Group Study Tours*As one of Australia’s largest and best-known group tour providers, we can designhigh-quality programs combining English language classes and recreational or study activities.
Programs are offered year-round, generally lasting between one and four weeks, and cater for students aged 12 and above with an average of 12 – 15 students per group.
