The Artist Proof Collection - a chance to own a unique example of

British craftsmanship

With a new direction into overseas markets there’s no better time to invest in one ofthese magnificent Artist Proof’s. Spanning part of the history of Elliot Hall Enamelthese works of Art are destined to be the heirlooms of the future.

The Artist Proof is the original enamel painted by the artist, which he or she thenuses as reference for the following limited edition collection. There is only ever oneArtist Proof for each design, and it is marked underneath with the initials A.P. andthe date on which it was completed. All Artist Proofs are signed by the artist andcome with a letter of provenance signed by myself.

The creation of the Artist Proof is a painstaking process, and much time andincredible skill goes into painting each one, as the artist creates and perfectsthe concept, decides how best to fit the design to thedimensions of the enamel shape and patientlybuilds up the layers of colour.

When I’ve approvedthe Artist Proof, thesize of the edition isagreed with the artistand then he or she willpaint each enamel, oneby one, using the ArtistProof as a guide. But,because all Elliot HallEnamels are freehandpainted, no two pieces willever be exactly the same. Sothe photograph you see in thisbrochure is the exact piece thatyou will be buying. Thesemagnificent Artist Proofs frompast editions give you a rare chanceto own a piece of enamel historywith a fine pedigree and provenanceto match.
