Mundaring Arts Centre Felting WorkshopMundaring Arts Centre Felting WorkshopMundaring Arts Centre Felting WorkshopMundaring Arts Centre Felting Workshop Through contacts with the Mundaring Arts Centre, two ESPS classes were lucky enough to be involved with an activity with a visiting artist. Louise Snook’s felted portrait workshops were held on Wednesday, 17 August with a Year 5 class (LB5.2 – Mrs Cassie Pinkard) and Year 5/6 class (LB4.2 Mrs Sharon Abbott). The students were busily working with Merino wool, bubble wrap, olive oil soap, water and lots of ‘elbow grease’ to create some gorgeous felt faces. The activity was full of learning new skills, interesting facts and although quite wet, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We are hoping the felt faces will become part of a combined exhibition in the near future.

Due to the huge success of the last Konga night, there will be another session on Friday, 9 September at 6:45 pm. Come down and join in the fun while getting fit at the same time. Door prizes such as gym memberships and café vouchers are up for grabs. Tickets on sale at the door: Adults $10-00 and Students $5-00.

100% Attendance Reward100% Attendance Reward100% Attendance Reward100% Attendance Reward After reviewing our current 100% attendance reward, we have decided to trial a new process in which students who are attending 100% of the time are eligible for a reward. These guidelines are below:

Each month, all students with 100% attendance go into a draw to win an invitation to the school reward; This ensures all students with justifiable medical reasons go into the draw once they return to school and complete a full month

of attendance; At the end of each semester, a random draw of ten students from each month’s 100% attendance students will be invited to the

end of semester reward session.

Hopefully this will help raise our whole school attendance rate for the year.
