A State chose to build its own health benefits exchange to comply with the Affordable Care Act, but the original system faltered and experienced many systemic technical issues. The State decided to discard its old system and hire Deloitte to transfer another State’s successful Health Insurance Access solution. The new system allows the State’s residents to enroll in health plans without the severe issues that plagued the original system. Providing a strong partnership to the State by assisting in the establishment and ongoing delivery of the State Health Insurance Exchange supports the Affordable Care Act at the state and national level.
