Technology Became Necessity Lalarukh Shahid Thanvi-Karachi

When we hear technology, ease and convenience pops in our minds. Technology has become an indispensable part of every aspect of daily life. Technology is now rather a necessity than a luxury. We yearn ease and efficiency in everything we do and technology playing the best role in providing us that comfort in our comfort zones, solving every problem.

With the advent of technology and globalization, world has minimized greatly and every information and interaction is just one tap away. In our daily life we heavily rely on technology in almost everything and no longer go for traditional means and methods. From education to business, from personal to social reasons, be it in classrooms, offices, homes, on the roads, in the kitchen, in communication, in medical sciences almost everything has gone digital. We study, shop, live, interact, travel, research differently that we used to do decades ago.

If we have a glance of outbreak of deadly coronavirus disease globally where people were confined at their homes and everything came to a halt, technology kept us sane. We couldn’t meet our loved ones for months but video calls and daily communication kept us going, online work from homes and online educational classes became the rescue, just all because of technology. If there had been no technology, we could have collapsed of depression and no means of interaction.

Now, no one can imagine a life without having a cell phone, laptop, gadgets, machineries, equipments etc. Medical science has advanced to a greater extend in treating the diseases those were of no cure in early centuries or even until few decades ago. Technology, being at its best in saving lives and treating in best possible ways. We tend to travel in the shortest time possible with great transportation advancements, study and research online rather running around the libraries, interact with the world through various social media platforms or emails. Cleaning and working at the home with great appliances similarly making a boom in business industries with the help of IT and different technological advancements.

As per statistical data of statistica.com: The worldwide spending on technology reached $3,360 billion in 2019

Experts say that by 2020, global spending on IoT technologies will reach $1.3 trillion.

The industries that utilize IoT devices are business and manufacturing (40.2%), healthcare (30.3%), retail (8.3%), security (7.7%), and transportation (4.1%).

The number of global autonomous driving sensor components will hit 4 billion by 2020.

Can we find happiness in hardships? We may not find happiness but definitely we can learn lessons from the hard times. Life is not always a bed of roses for mankind. Each one has to undergo pains at their own phase but remember that We don’t truly know ourselves until we face trials. We don’t get stronger from winning all the time. We don’t get smarter, and better when we have all rainbows in our life. Hardships make the life worth living. Sometimes the pain we feel today is the joy we will enjoy tomorrow.

Hardships make us strong Shafeeka Basheer, Dammam How can you appreciate light when you have not experienced the darkness? In the context of this Pandemic situation, let me explain: Yes ,the year 2020 has taught many of us great life lessons Isn’t it? This year was something filled with curiosities, anxieties and this was also a year that taught us some important morals that no one had ever noticed so far. We never stayed at home more than a week without work, we have never imagined a classroom without the presence of teacher, and we could never imagine meeting some friend without handshake, we never even thought of spending Holy month of Ramadan inside home but everything got real due to this pandemic reasons. But this hardship gave rise to something called tolerance, quality family time, patience and caring. Kids remain in home and their lives have completely changed, don’t you think days in lockdown were an opportunity for children to reinvent ways of play and learning, exploring their available environment and be contented with it.

One of the Covid survivor said that, this virus did not kill me, it infact have made me stronger. People who face hardships encourage and inspire others to handle the situations in a better way. How you respond to the challenges depends on your perception of everything that happens... It is true that this crisis is challenging the humanity and have taken many to the darkest valley but we should take a weapon called HOPE and defend yourself from the worst effect of hardships. It’s time to stand up with a new energy, new strength and a new experience… Sometimes a ray of hope is all the sunshine you need!

Wingless Flight Munazzah Izzat, Alkhobar The sky was blue much like her. Her heart was overflowing with emotions, like a flood ready to hit. And her mind exploding with thoughts as fast as a tornado on its way. She stood bare foot glued to the ground, her eyes open wide, her face could feel every breeze that came, and she felt as if she could smell the saltiness of the sea that resided meters below from where she was. She asked herself, moving swiftly to the edge of the cliff, ‘If I jump will I die, or will I fly? If I die would, it really make a difference to this world? Will the people I hold close to me even notice? But what if I fly? Will the world notice the angel embedded in me?’ The chances of flying do seem slim she reminded herself. ‘To jump or not to jump’-the question remains, the words echoed in her mind. She took a deep breath looked behind her still pondering about whether the answers that she demanded were to be put to experiment. Her eyes stared from the edge of the cliff. ‘It is now or never’, a tiny voice in her head bellowed. The time had come for her to decide. ‘This is it’ – she told herself and felt her heart thumping hard, as she closed her eyes tears trickled down her flawless face.

At that instant she made her move. She took a step. Backwards. She took another step; backwards. She then opened her eyes, put a gruesome smile on her wet face and said out loud, ‘Dear death I’ll wait for you till the very end.’

~THE END~ Though death is inevitable, we must all learn to live the right way. Everyone dies and will die but it’s not about your death. It is how well you’ve lived that genuinely counts. Every grain of sand has the potential to take part in the furious sandstorm but not all choose to do so. Likewise, every human being on this planet has the power to do something great, to make a change, heal the world or to leave a mark though not all choose to do so.

Your future may be fixed but you are the shape of your own destiny. The battles you go

through in this life are the reasons for your strength, passion, courage and success later. And will be reasons of your victory in the hereafter. For a human to wish he was an

angel is unfortunate because angels don’t taste death!

‘RAY OF HOPE’, the theme for this edition motivated me to share the story of my best friend as an inspiration to all readers. My friend Sarah was residing abroad, but due to challenges she faced in bringing up the children forced them to shift back to their homeland. Unfortunately, a joint family system had a very negative effect and caused family friction & tension. Bridging between relations shattered her confidence and trust. Her son skipped college and spent most of his time outside. Sarah was helplessly concerned about him. While making his bed one day she discovered a white powder and cigarettes which her son found escape in. It darkened their lives. Words cannot explain the depth of her shock and pain as for her, it seemed like the end of life.

Hoping for a miracle was her determination, and God helps those who help themselves. She could not afford to waste a single minute further with minimum finances, lack of support and keeping the treatment a secret. A journey of extreme situations & challenges. I could see how Sarah managed to stand strong as a rock in front of all, determined to take him off from this dependency and addiction killing her son with each passing day. Instead of rehab she somehow managed to follow the instructions of a psychiatrist secretly in her basement. Can't really remember how many sleepless nights and painful days we both spent trying to save him, her flesh & blood. I witnessed extreme pain physical & biological for him, emotional trauma & physical exhaustion for her. I was determined as “if you save one life you saved whole humanity”. But A RAY OF HOPE kept all of us going through ups and downs until he recovered, completed his bachelors, qualified CSS and is now at a prestigious post. He is now productively contributing in financial matters and career counselling young boys.

Digital marketing, as the name implies, is the marketing of products or services using digital channels of communication to reach consumers. It is one of the oldest strategies of marketing products or services and dates back to 1994 when the first online banner was placed (Schwarzl and Grabowska, 2015).

The 2020 Q4 update of Hoot Suite’s global digital report shows that 4.66 billion people, 60% of total global population, now uses the internet out

of which 4.14 billion people are active social media users. The average amount of time per day spent using the internet by each user was reported to be 6 hours and 55 minutes, out of which 3 hours and 37 minutes were reported to be spent using the internet on mobile devices. Further statistics are reported below. All in all, the rapidly increasing usage of digital technology amongst the world population is crucial to marketeers especially to those in the field of advertisement.

Digital Marketing during

Pandemic

The COVID-19 outbreak has affected business conditions around the globe, marketing and advertisement departments are no exception. The lingering uncertainty surrounding the end of pandemic and its impact has resulted in the consensus that the recovery will be most probably difficult and slower than the recovery post Great Recession of 2008 (Taylor, 2020). The effect of the pandemic on business operations varies from industry to industry. Nonetheless, there is an obvious and urgent need for businesses, especially marketeers and advertisers, to

adapt quickly to the changing environment in order to sustain their operations. The IAB – Interactive Advertising Bureau – has predicted the spending on digital ad to grow by 6% and shrink by 30% from 2019 for the traditional media advertising (Vorhaus, 2020). Junusi (2020) concluded in his research that the online marketing has a bright prospect and suggested that business people must adjust their marketing strategies by incorporating online marketing methods. As per Hoot Suit’s 2020 Q4 global digital report, the active social media users increased by more than 12.3% during the

pandemic period from October 2019 to October 2020. This is a key indicator of change in peoples’ habits during the stay-at-home period. Thus, more than ever now is the time for businesses to switch their marketing strategies towards digital platforms in order to sustain business operations and survive the pandemic duration. Home-based entrepreneurs who were heavily relying on physical exhibitions during pre-pandemic period must also consider creative ways to sustain their business during the stay-at-home period by using suitable digital channels.

BONUS INFO - Ideas for home-based entrepreneurs Below are some ideas for home-based entrepreneurs to make the best use of digital marketing channels to reach more consumers and increase their sales during the stay-at-home period:

1. E-mail Marketing: those with list of customers’ email addresses can utilise this method to share their products/services catalogue

2. Mobile Advertising: join advertisement groups on WHATSAPP and post your products/services regularly 3. Social Media Marketing (SMM): running ads is the best option on social media to give your

products/services the required boost; however, if your budget does not permit running ads then you can join advertisement groups on FACEBOOK and regularly share your content in these groups to increase your reach organically

4. Influencers: collaborate with popular influencers in your region to spread word-of-mouth (WoM) of your product/service while building brand credibility

Social media is the platform where information is exchanged between groups and individuals. First recognized social media site was ‘Six Degrees’, founded in 1997 by Andrew Weinrich, focusing on professional networking, allowing people to connect with business and school contacts. In later years various social networking sites like Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter became part of everyone’s necessity of all age groups. Although there are many positive impacts of social media, however this article is going to concisely cover few of them. Marketing and selling products on Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp became easy not only for entrepreneurs, but also became convenient mode for a common man. World has witnessed many people and their businesses becoming successful overnight, especially housewives sharing homemade food recipes and lifestyle Vlogs on YouTube engaged millions of viewers. Kids are dominating in YouTube becoming millionaires even before they join schools. It is also easier to make friends and connect to the long lost old friends. Sharing emotions and empathy are very common on Facebook. Digital education on “Zoom App” and ‘Whatsapp’ has now become the primary core of the student’s lives where they are socially able to connect with their teachers and class fellows. LinkedIn, a professional social media platform has now become predominantly popular among the Job Seekers and Employers. In terms of impact on medical perspective, frequently used social media applications such as Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter, where critical announcements of blood donation and vital organs appeal, enquiry on doctors and hospitals can be entertained with in a very short span of time and consequently the help can come through various locations. For Politics and World News, Social media like Twitter is changing how we govern and are governed. Common man is now able to access and directly connect with the representatives of the government in various departments for their queries and complaints, which result in immediate actions and solutions. Even Election Campaign Videos and Party Manifestos are shared online. Evolution of smart phones and Internet speed during the last decade has made it easy for social media to gain popularity. It is considered as ‘One-stop’ communication window in all fields, be it related to news around the world, current trends, education, business, medical or entertainment for a large audience.

What exactly is HOPE? In the field of psychology, Rick Synder is known as the main researcher in the field of HOPE. He defined hope as, “a primarily cognitive, goal-oriented pattern of thought in which people come up with different pathways to achieve their goals, remain motivated to follow these pathways, and actively look for alternative pathways to these goals when necessary (Worgan, Lechlade, & Gloucestershire, 2013).” In simple words, hope can be defined as a continuous positive feeling and self-motivational state of mind. A person with high hope is more likely to find different ways to achieve goals and more frequently remind himself/herself about his/her capabilities to accomplish the set goals. Hence, we can say that the level of HOPE, a person has is what distinguishes him/her from others in the times of mutual crises. What are the benefits of staying HOPEFUL?

Research done by Lazarus and Launier (1987) asserted that higher levels of hope help a person in viewing times of crises as a challenge to overcome instead of a threat to feel anxious about.

Research done by Michael (2000) showed that hope reduces levels of anxiety and acts as a protective factor against perceptions of uncontrollability and unpredictability.

Research done by Roesch & Vaughn (2006) proved that HOPE is related to life satisfaction in general.

Research done by Rand and Cheavens (2012) showed that high levels of hope are related to better academic and athletic performance, enhanced physical and mental well-being, and better relationships with others.

How can we stay HOPEFUL in times of crises? It is true that levels of HOPE fluctuate from low to high and vice versa. Even the most positive person is likely to experience lower levels of HOPE at some point in life, mainly during times of crises. Below are few simple ways that can help you in staying HOPEFUL during the crises:

Talk to family/friends about what is bothering you. Ask them for advice on how to best overcome the difficult situations. This will channel your mind towards looking at opportunities instead of focusing on issues.

Take good care of yourself by ensuring proper sleep, eating right type of food, and exercising on regular basis. Avoid staying up late at night and eating junk food. Add at least 30 minutes of walk to your daily routine to uplift your mood.

Shift your efforts from things that you cannot control to things that you can work on and improve. Focus on what is in your control and deal with issues one at a time. The more you see things that are in your control starts to improve, the more you will feel positive about your situation.

Reminisce daily about all the positive happenings in your life and count your blessings. Focus on the basics - such as food, shelter, health - and be grateful for having them. Remind yourself on daily basis that many people are even deprived of these basic necessities of life.

Above all, keep in mind that no situation is permanent and problems are part of life. Not just your life, but everyone’s life. In fact, problems give us a chance to explore and expand our potential by overcoming different types of challenges. The more problems you overcome, the more positive you will feel about yourself and the easier it will get over the time to deal with crises situations in general. The problems of today will prepare you for bigger opportunities tomorrow. Believe in yourself, and believe that your situation will improve towards better days. All you need is little patience and a lot of HOPE.

Give a person a Fish, and You Feed Him/her for a Day. Teach a Person to Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime. The Xee Beauty Initiative is the perfect depiction of this saying, by taking a step to educate and employ women who aspire to become makeup artists, beauticians and successful entrepreneurs. The idea is to create a dedicated institute for beauticians with the preference for underprivileged women, who would learn the art and enhance their skills in order to successfully qualify as makeup artists and beauticians. They would then go on and work for Xee Beauty as an always open option, other Health and Beauty related businesses or onto the commercial market. The vision is to support the vast majority of women who don't have a professional and free of charge outlet to learn and showcase their skills. Empowering these women would mean, penetrating into an untapped market of investment in human capital which can count for huge return in the near future. The institute’s aim is to expand all across Pakistan, starting from Karachi, then onto other major cities and towns. With an amazing team of esteemed Presidential and Executive members in its board, we aspire to make a difference in this world and create a stream of employment which saves people from begging or eventually becoming a burden for the society. The institute services will not be limited only to health and beauty courses but to also inject other skills such as: 'English as a second language', Personal grooming, Hygiene, entrepreneurship and more technical/ vocational training courses in the future and to include trainings for men as well.

Our mission is to fill the gap in the diaspora and support people to stand on their own two feet.

Most of us ladies today are going crazy about “Me-Time”. What is this “Me-Time”?

Time with your friends or time-off from husband and kids, self-grooming, scrolling through social media, shopping, eating or reading what you like, staring into the horizon not doing anything for an hour, etc. There are so many versions of it, depending from person to person and place to place. Have you ever wondered why ladies these days are becoming so desperate for their ‘Me-time’? It's the story of every woman who wakes up every day with that superwoman feeling; she wishes to do an endless number of household chores for her day while wanting to cook the perfect meal, have kids well fed and well-dressed and a well-presented house all the time. I want to give a shout out here to you all - Take it slow and easy upon yourselves. Stop! take a step back from the vicious circle of this worldly life and work on our priorities. Sometimes, even after having our so-called ‘Me-time’ we are not really happy and satisfied with our lives because we have forgotten our purpose of existence. Our life is nothing but a fixed amount of ‘time’ so we need to prioritize and keep track of tasks. The Quran says in many occasions, this world is not a place to reside- it is a journey, a test, an amusement and diversion and competition in the increase of wealth and children. It is the time, we get back to our user-manual (the Quran) provided by our manufacturer (Allah s.w.t) and look for answers to everything we need and value our time in this world. A well-spent time with purpose gives a satisfaction that can keep our spirits high and guide us from humble gratification to contentment with qadr-ullah.

The next part, Exfoliation is the process of removing the dead skin cells from the top layers of your skin. This layer can cause breakouts and dull tired skin by clogging healthy pores. Exfoliation is as important as cleansing because as we age, the process of shedding dead skin naturally becomes slow. So every type of skin needs a foreign aid that removes dead skin buildup. The old school method of scrubbing using harsh physical scrubs is no longer approved by skin specialists. As it gradually forms micro tears on skin. The new and most effective method is Chemical Exfoliation.

WHAT IS CHEMICAL EXFOLIATION?

Chemical exfoliation is a safe process of removing dead skin cells from skin without disturbing the natural barrier. When we hear the word chemical we think it’s something really dangerous for skin. There are two main types of chemical exfoliation are:

• Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) • Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) • Poly Hydroxy Acids (PHA)

AHAs like Glycolic acid, Lactic acid and Mandelic acid are derived from natural substance and are ideal for exfoliating Normal, Dry or sensitive skin respectively. They can be safely used once or twice a week. However, AHAs are water soluble and they can’t penetrate very deep into pores unlike BHAs. BHAs commonly available as salicylic acid are oil-soluble acids. So they can reach deeper into the skin and pores and glands. BHAs also have anti-inflammatory & antibacterial properties. PHAs are large size molecules hence they do not penetrate deep into skin. They are best for people with sensitive skin. Therefore, it is suggested to use a combination of Alpha and Beta hydroxyl acids for a healthy glowing skin.

Elitian Times –Ray of Hope,15

Always try to avoid the following: • Anti-aging cleansers • Exfoliating foaming cleansers •Cleansing devices • 99% of soaps • Cleansing wipes

Cleansing and Exfoliations

Cleansing and Exfoliation are the first and basic steps of any good skincare routine. A cleanser removes dirt, makeup, pollutants and sunscreen from the skin. Gentle face cleansers should be your choice particularly if you plan on using more active ingredients down the line. The most common mistake people make while washing their face is that they cleanse too much or too often or with a cleanser that is harsh for their skin which actually results in breaking down of skin barrier. Always select a cleanser or face wash according to your skin type. • Dry and sensitive skin requires gentle cleansing to avoid stripping the hydro lipid film or aggravating the stratum corneum. • Oily skin, requires a cleanser that removes excess sebum and keeps skin in balance, without over-stripping, as that can cause sebaceous glands to produce yet more sebum in response. • Complex duality of combination skin requires cleansing that will effectively clarify the oilier regions of the face, without exacerbating drier areas. • Normal skin, dermatologists suggest a regimen of mild but efficacious cleansing to maintain skin’s equilibrium. If you have dry skin, following types of cleansers can be used: • Milk cleanser • Balm cleanser • Oil-based cleanser If you have oily and acne-prone skin, than go for these types: • Gel/mild foaming cleansers • Oil cleansing method/double cleansing If you have combination skin, these cleansers could be your best choice: • Milk, balm, or oil-based cleanser on dry areas • Gel/mild foaming cleanser on oily areas • Oil cleansing method/double cleansing If you are blessed with normal skin, the cleansers you can select are: • Milk cleanser • Balm cleanser • Oil-based cleanser

Good health is the biggest blessing given to us by Allah. Adopting healthy eating habits are the major prerequisites to alleviate the risks of various chronic diseases in the midst of maintaining a balanced weight.

The Prophet (PBUH), said, “The son of Adam cannot fill a vessel worse than his stomach, as it is enough for him to take a few bites to straighten his back. If he cannot do it, then he may fill it with a third of his food, a third of his drink, and a third of his breath.”

One can indulge in healthy eating habits by adopting these tips in their lives:

• Maintaining a disciplined routine - eating shorter meals at regular intervals

• Portion control by limiting calories intake to 2000kcal a day for women and 2400kcal a day for men

• Always eating a healthy fuller breakfast

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like

a pauper. – Adelle Davis

• Avoid eating processed foods like cheese, hotdogs, etc

• Avoid fizz drinks and sugary foods

• Intake of no more than 6g of salts in a day

• Regular exercise • Exposure to sunlight for a good

amount of vitamin D • Never eat while watching,

makes you end up eating more and unsaturated

• Regular sleeping pattern of 7 hours of sleep in a day

• Eating fresh fruits and salads for a healthy skin inside out

• Drinking 2-3 litres of water in a day to keep you hydrated

• Regular intake of dry fruits • Avoid stress as it is the most

prevalent cause of binge eating.

“An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.” - Henry David

Thoreau Thoreau’s simple words in his famous book “Walden” aptly emphasize how important a

morning walk can be to set the tone for the rest of your day. As an early bird myself, I thoroughly love the beauty of a sunrise, the joy of the birds chirping and the freshness of the crisp morning air. However, a morning walk brings more benefits than meets the

eyes.

Unlike rigorous activities such as weight training or running, a morning walk is easy on the body while

offering numerous physical benefits. With the steady pace of your feet, your body’s systems and

processes awaken to a new day, giving a jump start to your metabolism. A healthy metabolism will allow

you to burn more calories throughout the rest of your day, helping us shed those extra pounds. The

heart also beings to strengthen with each step, allowing us to burn cholesterol and lower our sugar

levels.

According to the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, researchers found that 30 minutes of brisk walking can reduce the risk of death from

heart disease by 33%.

Physical health includes mental wellbeing – which we often overlook. A dose of sunlight, while

providing much needed Vitamin D, also releases hormones in your brain called serotonin which

boost your mood to be calm and focused. While a walk alone is the great time to reflect, my favorite walks are with my spouse, friends, loved ones or

anyone who want to share views, discuss ideas or spend some quality time.

All it takes is one step at a time of daily discipline. Start with 15 minutes, steadily increasing the time

to reach your goals for a better you. Here’s to a blessed day!

“NEW YEAR 2021”

Juveria Farooqui,8th Class, India. After the completion of any year, we recall all the good and bad memories. People look forward of welcoming the New Year with great happiness and enthusiasm. But this year we may not be able to do so because of this pandemic- CORONA VIRUS.

I had to say this, we had fought a great battle these days. And may this battle come to an end soon. We will welcome this New Year with positivity, hope and happiness. Remember the GOD Almighty Allah SWT.

Look forward to thinking about the passage of time, welcome the opportunities and try to improve life through the obstacles, which we have faced. The human race is locked in a battle against something five million times smaller than us- CORONA VIRUS, but we'll not lose the hope and enthusiasm in fighting against it. Ringing in the New Year is a cause for celebration, for spending time with friends and family and for looking forward. Let us all welcome this New Year with great wishes for others and sum up what the past year has meant to us. On this New Year, I wish that all of us have a super January, a dazzling February, a peaceful March, an anxiety- free April, a sensational May, the joy that keeps going from June to November, then round off with an upbeat December, and come out victorious with the new normal life. Though Corona is there but still we are able to live through it. At the end of the year let us appreciate the hard work of the health workers fighting a relentless battle, people from across the world are going out of their way to help communities and those under quarantine. I want to conclude my words by sending some virtual greetings to you and your family. “Wishing you a Happy New year with the hope that you will have many blessings in the year to come!”

“Let us look back at the past year with the warmest memories and aspirations!!”

Let us fight against CORONA and gain VICTORY over it.

“WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR AHEAD AND AFTER.”

The Importance of Cyber Security Alishba Naveed Khan, Alkhobar Computer security, cyber security or information technology security is the protection of computer systems and networks from the theft or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. There are 5 different types of cyber security which are: 1. Network Security 2. Application Security 3. Information Security 4. Operational Security 5. Cloud Security Cybercrimes cost the world 450 billion dollars every year. Hackers all around the world prepare attacks which occur every 39 seconds. Nowadays, there are around 24,000 malicious mobile apps blocked every day. Cybercriminals all around the world can steal your identities and sell them for millions to criminals who then use it to commit other cybercrimes or can use it for their own negative purposes. Not all hackers commit cybercrimes. Ethical hackers also known as white hat hackers use their computer skills for good, they specialize in penetration testing, which is designed to expose serious flaws by pushing computer systems to their limit. The majority of companies are employing white hats to catch security issues before black hats (malicious hackers or cybercriminals) do. Mischievous hackers can also find out your personal data in the cloud for example; your emails, location, phone number, etc. A cruel hacker might send you a video or file and as soon as you click to open it, it spreads malware in your computer and the hacker can also be able to gain access to your computer. This kind of attack is known as phishing attacks. It’s important for every person to know that there are a thousand ways that might let hackers spread malware in their computers or even hack their computers. A data breach is the intentional or unintentional release of secure or private/confidential information to an untrusted environment. Other terms for this phenomenon include unintentional information disclosure, data leak, information leakage and also data spill. In 2017, United States organizations experienced overall 1,632 data breaches and 197.61 million of their records were exposed. So that’s why most of the organizations hire cyber security experts so that they can protect their data from hackers or cybercriminals.

Change Alishba Asif –Grade 6,Alkhobar Change, It's....... weird. Sometimes things get bizarre, but often, our own decisions make up a big change... Which may be a reason to why we fear change, we fear those things that are never going to be the same as they used to be..... The feeling when you know it's gone. And will never, ever come back. Change can be scary but you know what’s more scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving and processing. The most DANGEROUS phrase is "We've always done it this way". The thing is if my life never changed I would have been in Pakistan, a place which I loved, but now I feel grateful that I live so near to the holy mosque of Makah..... My life changed completely but I am really happy about it...... even though it feels bad at first, but when you get comfortable and get to know things better and get to know that “change” turns life better if good decisions were taken. So, don’t fear changes, take good decisions and live the change with no regrets :). Though, Yesterday I was clever so I thought I could change the world, but today I'm wise so I am changing myself. And remember that...... The measures of intelligence is the ability to change. And every day the clock does reset so live it. 20

The World’s Situation Aiman Raja, Pakistan Nowadays the world is in this situation that is about our lives. Seeing this much of a peaceful environment, people barely had a glimpse of it in the 80’s and 90’s. Today we are so busy in our lives that we have forgotten what our purpose to be on this planet is. Are the recent inventions capable of solving this worldwide issue?. Sometimes I wonder that maybe we humans are the reason for this pandemic. This pandemic somehow has changed our lives in a certain way. Like it made those weak that were considered as the strongest. God made them so rich who were the poorest for the society and even the richest person cannot get ahead of this. Conclusively this pandemic has developed a sense of equality amongst us. It is scientifically proven that after every century there is a wave of various diseases. But who knows that if we are going to die now, who knows after a century various diseases might end up destroying the whole world. This pandemic in which we can’t do anything, but we can do anything. We can’t do what we used to in our lives but we can still live our life to the highest limit by doing certain activities. Like we can sit and have a cup of coffee or tea, relaxing ourselves even though right now we fortunately don’t have the toughest lives and don’t have to suffer a lot but we humans are still ungrateful and tired of all the things that are happening around us . It is once said that rather than overthinking not thinking is better. We should stay safe, follow the SOP’s, and we have the time to understand ourselves and we should try to enjoy our lives to the fullest.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book out of the famous Harry Potter series written by the one and only J.K Rowling published on 8th July 1999. The book started with Harry being bored in his vacations of hog warts because he was stuck with his uncle and aunt and cousin and they made his life miserable at the beginning. But his friends Ron and Hermione were there for him although they were in France and Egypt at the start they always sent him letters to make him feel happy. But in this magical world many strange and mysterious things happened. There was a very strange prison called Azkaban and it held a murderer, he was Sirius black but he broke out of that prison. Harry was aware of this and by finding clues he found out that this dangerous Person was actually working for lord Voldemort and he was actually the god father of Harry. Harry, Ron and Hermione worked together to find clues to stop Sirius black. Sirius black wanted to kill Harry and his friends with all sorts of traps. This book had so many plot twists and was sometimes very tense and makes you sit at the edge of your seat. It was a very addicting book as well.

The reason I loved this book was because it was so

interesting, and we all know why, J.K Rowling. Her style of turning words into real life situations is just tremendous. Over all I loved the book, it is a great novel written by J.K

Rowling and especially recommend this book out of the Harry Potter series starting from age 9 to any age because this book

will be loved by people of all ages. Thank you
