• It was a dark time where people would die.

• Depressing

• Period of time where no Jews were free from concentration camps.

• Never happy

• Wanted to tell the world about the most painful and darkest time in his life.

How did Elie change after the Holocaust experiences?

• He believed in his religion but once he realized during his time in the camp that there wasn’t a

god to help him or save anyone.

• After the Holocaust he became a better person.

• He became an orphan.
