ELFOR CONTROLS is an Italian company specialized in manufacturing SCOTCH-YOKE PNEUMATIC ACTUATORS (both single and double acting), with output torque ranging from 1500 Nm (1.112 lb-ft) to 46.000 Nm (33.927 lb-ft) double acting and from 586 Nm (432 lb-ft) to 15.854 Nm (11.693 lb-ft) spring return.

• TOTALLY ENCLOSED waterproof body in nodular cast iron EN-GJS-400-15 IP 67 or carbon steel

• PNEUMATIC CYLINDER, polished with electroless nickel plated internal in compliance with specifications ASTM-B733 and UNI ISO 4527

• CARBON STEEL PISTON with dynamic floating O-Ring seal (PARKER N 674-70) to reduce friction and to extend service life

• ISO 5211 mounting flange

• POSITION INDICATOR complete with VDI/VDE 3845 NAMUR for mounting accessories

• POWER SUPPLY: instrument air, nitrogen, sweet gas or sour gas (materials pressure group requirements acc. to NACE MR 0173/93)

• TWO INDEPENDENT external travel stops for precise angular stroke adjustment `7° in both directions.

• YOKE PIN complete with hard grounds sliding bush in the body

• PAINTING: sandblasting to grade SA 2.1/2.

First coat: epoxy zinc 50 microns

Final coat: high build epoxy poliamide 100 microns RAL 9006

• TOTALLY ENCLOSED SPRING cartridge with additional safety feature in order to avoid injury during disassembly of the spring enclosure.

• STANDARD OPERATING temperature range: -29 °C / +80 °C

• MANUAL OVERRIDE OPTIONS

The EC series can be supplied with four different Manual Overrides

Low Torque for Spring Return = “J.S.”Jack Screw

High Torque for Spring Return = “MOG” Manual Override with integrated Gear

Low and High Torque for Double Acting = “MGDA” Declutchable Manual Override

High Torque for Double and Spring Return = “M.O.H.P” Hydraulic Manual Override

• CONTROL SYSTEM

The EC series can be supplied with a set of additional components specifically engineered and integrated upon requests of the Customers.

The control system can be fitted on panels that will be secured on the actuator body or at remote location. Upon request proper cabinets or stainless steel panels equipped with sun shade can be designed and supplied.

A set of pre-engineered solution is already available to satisfy the most common needs.

Elfor Controls is at any time available to design and manufacture, in a timely and efficient manner, any solution according to the Customer’s needs and expectations.

• POSITION MONITOR DEVICE

The EC series can be equipped with all positioning monitor devices.
