"Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Matthew 25:34

LOCATIONThe elevator will be built as an additionto the existing church building on theeast side with access to the elevatorfrom the courtyard. This location waschosen because it will not affect thestructural integrity of the existingbuilding in any major way and is closeto accessible parking.

GROUND LEVEL ACCESSEntrance at the ground level will be an enclosed lobby off the courtyard. You will be able to take the elevator up to the church or down to the lowerlevel, which is Unity Hall.

CHURCH LEVEL ACCESSAccess to the elevator within the churchwill be through the current, and unused, confessional on the eastside of the church. The middleconfessional door will be a new fire doorthat will open to a lobby. The interiordesign of the church will not change inany major way.

UNITY HALL ACCESSAccess to the elevator in Unity Hall willbe through an added door below thecurrent window in the east alcove thatwill lead to the added lobby.

OUR GOAL is to make our church and gathering space accessible so that all who come can pray, celebrate, gather, and worship God in our Eucharistic Community of Faith.

SAFETY Lobbies on each level will serve as asafety/rescue area.  Each lobby willhave a phone/intercom system forFirst Responders to communicatewith anyone there who cannot exitthe church via stairs.Fire Doors will separate the lobbyfrom the Church  level and UnityHall level.

ACCESSIBLE WASHROOMSThe washrooms in Unity Hall meetADA standards. We are grateful tothe foresight of our faithfulparishioners who generously builtthe washrooms.

UNITY HALL RAMPAnother aspect of this project will beto add a permanent accessible rampto access the Unity Hall washrooms. The ramp will be cut into theexisting platform.

WHO BENEFITS?Not only the elderly and ourneighbors with permanent mobilityissues; but also, anyone who has orcould have a future mobility issue, even temporary. The elevator will be large enough toassist at funerals and major eventsfor catering and moving tables andchairs. We all benefit from having anaccessible church.

PLEASE MAKE A DONATION TO THIS LIFE-CHANGING ADDITION TO OUR CHURCH.

“A vast crowd brought to Him people who were lame, blind, crippled,

those who couldn’t speak, and many others.

They laid them before Jesus, and He healed them all.”
