Renowned Montreal designer, Denis Gagnon

creates his collections with distinctive refine-

ment, while injecting a dose of mystery and

modernism. Recognized for his work with

materials such as silk and leather, and his use

of texture and superposition, Denis Gagnon’s

style is constantly evolving.

ENVERS par Yves Jean Lacasse

For the past 18 years, the designer rec-

reated the woman and men fashion wor-

lds. His style has traditional craft touch

using asymmetry and layering. Consi-

dered one of the established values

of international couture, the designer

combines modernity and past in a playfully

refined way. The ENVERS master pieces are

always inspired by a romantic, ethnic and

historic style. Animated by the fashion and

couture universes over 3 generations, the

designer continue to offer an accessible

«sur-mesure» for all.

Members of different councils of the fashion

industry and foundations, he’s invited

abroad to promote he’s own artistic vision

to the new upcoming designers.

MARTIN LIM is the fusion of two cultures, two

worlds, but mainly the merger of two designers

who proved themselves on the international le-

vel, they are Danielle MARTIN & Pao LIM. Besides

winning prestigious national and international

awards, Martin and Lim are devoted designers

who gained valuable experience while working

with internationally renowned designers.

Martin and Lim both graduated from the B.A. in

Gestion et Design de la mode from École Supé-

rieure de Mode de Montréal — UQÀM, and they

pursued their studies in London, where they

graduated from the MA Fashion Womenswear

of the prestigious Central Saint Martins College

of Art & Design.

Since 2010, they launched their label and since

then, fashion medias keep appreciating their

work. MARTIN LIM is specialized in woman

urban collection and offer a made-to-measure

creation service.

Since 1972, JEAN-CLAUDE POITRAS, has been

creating remarkable work. Leader in Canadian

fashion, a true ambassador recognized world-

wide, he presented his collections on the largest

international catwalks, which earned him inter-

national recognition, from the Modadel Amo

awards in California to the Monte Carlo Fil d’Or,

from the ARC Award in Toronto to the Montreal

Griffe D’Or. He was also awarded the Ordre

National du Quebec and the Order of Canada.

Throughout his career, his communication skills

led him to be very present in the media. As a

speaker and columnist, this lifestyle brings his

love of beauty to a wider audience.

Since 2002, his passion for all aspects of de-

sign led him to affix his label on tableware and

on the decorating world, without forgetting the

art of stained glass that he reinvents. Constant-

ly renewing his creativity as well as searching

the latest fashion trends, his uncommon vision

celebrates in 2012 his 40-year career and re-

veals for the first time the visual artist who has

always slept within him. Pioneer, visionary, still

up to date, Poitras is a designer who appeals

to all generations and continues to innovate off

the beaten tracks.

UNTTLD is an open story. It is about clothes,

art and music. It is about the freedom to rede-

fine ourselves everyday. There are no rules. No

names. UNTTLD is inspired by what happens

in silence. That bewildering feeling of having

been somewhere before, closer to the reality

of dreams than actual life. A tactile experience,

fingers, skin, breath. UNTTLD celebrates the

shameless and the untamed. We are interested

in those who burn burn burn like fabulous ro-

man candles exploding across the stars.

UNTTLD is a collective project. We love high

quality garments, old techniques, and tying

things together all over.

The anodized aluminium

caming that we use allow our

artisans to create streamlined,

contemporary designs.

This assembly technique

eliminates all vibrations, as well

as protecting the caming against

oxidation, which gives them a

harmonious, elegant, durable

look. What’s more, the doorlites

are completely lead-free and the

joints are straight.

Did you know that there are significant differences between welded

and non-welded doorlites?

The welded doorlites on the

market are, for the most

part, imported from Asian

manufacturers.

They offer greater possibilities in

terms of designs with complex

arches and curves; however, the

manner in which the caming

are assembled may cause

the doorlite to vibrate during

everyday use.

This vibration is amplified

according to the number of

welds used to secure the glass

panes and the complexity of

the doorlite. Since the welds are

made with lead, they tend to

oxidize and change colour over

time.
