Dear Students,

We are introducing Elective Courses from this semester which is a 2 credit internal course.

Under Elective Course we are introducing 3 foreign languages 1. Basic Spanish - I

2. Basic German – I

3. Basic French - I

Kindly note that student can select any one course out of the three.

Students are requested to give their 1st & 2nd preference for the course by 2.12.2018.

Any two Languages with the highest number of preference will be selected and commence shortly.

Students Signature on final list will be taken on 3.12.2018 after which the shifting of the course will not be allowed.

Foreign Language

In the age of globalization, difference in languages should not become a barrier in communication.

Keeping this fact in mind, the foreign language courses in three most important languages in terms

of job prospects were offered; German, French and Spanish. The students of batch 2018-20 learned

foreign language in Semester II. These languages were chosen based on the preferences given by

the students. The two credit course was conducted for 30 hrs. Starting from February, the course

lasted till March. The faculty from ELTIS took the sessions. All 77 students attended the sessions.

The course helped the students in improving their proficiency by imparting detailed knowledge to

them on grammar and structure of the language. This will enable them to find jobs easily outside

India. The following was the course module:

1. Basic grammar and vocabulary

2. Reading, Writing, Speaking and understanding basic texts
