Monday *Remember- You can follow the daily guidelines and do as little or as much as your student

has time for. Please do not feel like you have to do every single item!

Reading: Informational Text- Log on to Story Works Jr. (https://storyworksjr.scholastic.com/) using the

classroom password: learningkite2020

- Search for the story “Disaster in Space”.

- After clicking on the story, scroll down to where it says “Presentation View” on the left side of the screen and click on “read the story.”

- After reading the story, complete the print out “Text Features?”

Starbucks Mode: Complete 30 minutes of reading and then fill out reading log for the day.

Spellingo Students will copy down their spelling

words from the teacher list.

o They can practice writing down their words in various formats. For example, write them in marker, use them in a story, write them backwards, clap them out, practice quiz, etc.

o Parents or siblings can give a spelling test when they have time.

o NewsELA, Time for Kids, and Scholastic News are great places for kid friendly articles. However, the article can be from anywhere.
