Oak Ridge Baptist greets new pastor The Rev. Jack R. Johnson,

fonner pastor of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Maiden, has accepted the call to become pastor of Oak Ridge Baptist Church here and will begin his work in the local congregation SWlday.

The Rev. Mr. Johnson is a native of Mocksville and was fonnerly in landscaping before studying for the ministry.

He entered Fruitland Baptist Institute, Hendersonville, for Bible studies and his first pastorate was at Carswell Memorial Baptist Church in Morganton.

Mrs. Johnson is the fonner Miss Lyndell E . Cable, alsO of Mocksville, and the family i nc Iud e s three daughters, Sandra, Pamela and Tenia.

The Rev. Mr. Johnson succeeds the Rev. Ray Scism, fonner pastor at O~k Ridge Baptist Church who resigned last fall.
