Bishop Edward T Hughes Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who is also a parent of one or more children, born or unborn.

Life Choices is now offering a $500 scholarship for an outstanding student who is also a parent. Applicant must have one or more children, born or unborn. We have named the scholarship in honor of Bishop Edward T Hughes. Bishop Hughes is a member of Life Choices' Advisory Board and Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Metuchen. Our Board felt that naming the scholarship in his honor was most appropriate since each of us have been inspired and encouraged by Bishop Hughes' great concern for young people who may be struggling with an unplanned pregnancy, and his dedication to both building a culture of Life and Catholic education.

Life Choices, Inc. is currently accepting applications for its 2012 scholarships. The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who is also a parent. This year the awardee will receive a $500 scholarship. Qualifications-Applicant must be attending or planning to attend a two- or four-year accredited college or university or vocational school, trade school, business school. Applicant must reside in the Diocese of Metuchen or have been a client of Life Choices of Phillipsburg. Applicant must have one or more children, born or unborn.

The scholarship is one more way for Life Choices to encourage and enable life-affirming choices.
