Shut up you little sods!” The gunman shouted. “Where’s the biggest place in the school?”  No one answered as the room went silent. “I said; where’s the biggest place in the school?” The gunman turned around and pointed the gun at me. I heard a growl rumble in Edward’s chest and I laid a hand on his under the desk. It was important not to show any emotion. They could use it against us. “That would be the cafeteria,” I answered coolly meeting his horrid gaze with disdain. He cocked his head to the side. I knew that whatever he was thinking in that moment was not something good. Edwards growl grew more pronounced and I squeezed his hand. After a while the gunman turned away again and turned to his accomplice. They murmured for a moment or two before the second one turned back to us. “Everyone stand up and get in single file!” He shouted poking Mike with the gun. Mike yelped and jumped to his feet forming the start of the line. I went ahead of Edward. As we walked his growl never stopped. When we got there everyone gathered in the middle uncertain of what to do. “Push the tables to the side and form a circle,” The gunman ordered. We did as we were told, well… Edward did most of the work for me lifting and pushing the tables and chairs. I noticed that one of the gunmen were missing but I didn’t have much chance to ask Edward about it. We stood in a circle an d Edward stood next to me, not too close to assume we were going out but not too far away I felt alone. Everyone stood silently avoiding eye contact with the gunman except for Edward and me. We ruthlessly glared at the man letting our feelings with our eyes. I glanced around the hall. It seemed there were only two classes being held hostage all in our year. Several of my friends were in here. I just hoped that the gunman didn’t have any  plans that are too… I didn’t continue with my train of thought as the second gunman walked in pushing five very familiar faces ahead of him.

2. The Game Begins

Bella

“Alright! Alright! I’ve had enough of you’re crying! Shut up you little sods!” The

gunman shouted. “Where’s the biggest place in the school?”

No one answered as the room went silent.

“I said; where’s the biggest place in the school?” The gunman turned around and pointed

the gun at me. I heard a growl rumble in Edward’s chest and I laid a hand on his under

the desk. It was important not to show any emotion. They could use it against us.

“That would be the cafeteria,” I answered coolly meeting his horrid gaze with disdain.

He cocked his head to the side. I knew that whatever he was thinking in that moment wasnot something good. Edwards growl grew more pronounced and I squeezed his hand.

After a while the gunman turned away again and turned to his accomplice. They

murmured for a moment or two before the second one turned back to us.

We did as we were told, well… Edward did most of the work for me lifting and pushingthe tables and chairs.

I noticed that one of the gunmen were missing but I didn’t have much chance to ask

Edward about it. We stood in a circle and Edward stood next to me, not too close to

assume we were going out but not too far away I felt alone.

Everyone stood silently avoiding eye contact with the gunman except for Edward and me.We ruthlessly glared at the man letting our feelings with our eyes.

I glanced around the hall. It seemed there were only two classes being held hostage all in

our year. Several of my friends were in here. I just hoped that the gunman didn’t have any

 plans that are too…

I didn’t continue with my train of thought as the second gunman walked in pushing five

very familiar faces ahead of him.

Jasper was fighting hard with himself as the gunman pushed Alice roughly into the circle.

He knew, like the rest of us he couldn’t show any emotion. It was harder for him because

he also had to cope with because of his ‘special ability’.

Rose, Emmett, Alice and Jasper stood around us making me the safest person in the room

 being surrounded by five vampires.

“Put your mobile phones in the box!” The second gunman shouted.

I took mine out of my pocket and I noticed that Edwards phone wasn’t actually his phone.

He winked at me as he slid it into the box.

I fought back a small smile knowing that Edward would keep me safe.

Once the box had gone around everyone the first gunman ordered us all to sit down insilence.

“Alright! While were here I’m going to be called ‘Jim’ and my friend here will be called

‘Bob’. You will not talk unless I ask you to and if any of you do talk you will not like theconsequences.” ‘Jim’ sneered.

I lifted my chin in the air slightly and narrowed my eyes.

“Ah and here comes the first of many calls.” Bob grinned lifting a phone from the box. It

was my phone.

“Hello?” The gunman answered. There was a short pause before he spoke again. “You’redaughter’s safe… for now. I will let all of the hostages go if me and my friend get what I

want.” He chuckled at something I could only guess Charlie had said, “A million dollars

and our freedom,” There was a longer pause this time. “I thought you might say that. So

I’ve been thinking. You will phone me every eighteen minutes and either you have what Iwant or you don’t. If you do everyone walks away unharmed. If you don’t a student will

get shot every time you call. Now lets begin.”

Bob hung up and turned to face us an evil grin on his face.

“So, who’s the chiefs’ daughter?”
