Forming Finishing

1. A tier-one automotive supplier in Brazil and a textbook case of the ToyotaProduction System (TPS) in a two stages manufacturing process

2. A pacemaker – the finishing process – build product at a constant rate using assmall lots as possible, smoothing material flow throughout the supply-chain. Thatrate must be aligned with the average rate of demand from the market

3. A Kanban process, keep upstream operations, synchronized with the pacemakerand propagate that synchronization to suppliers.

4. No SAP ECC system yet. LPO stand-alone5. Project took 4 months to

completion Grampos – Manufacturing Process
