leak-free, reliable pe r fo rmance in demanding chemical process appl icat ions . Close-coupled or long-coupled magnetical ly driv- en, the M-Series PFA l ined p u m p s feature an enc losed impel ler design for operat ional efficiency and a large silicon car- bide rota t ing shaft for lasting performance.
Durco PolyChem S-Series plast ic- l ined sealed p u m p s are designed wi th various mechani- cal sealing op t ions for perfor- mance in highly corrosive pro- cess appl icat ions . These long coupled pumps feature an over- sized "FM" seal c h a m b e r wi th f low modifiers to self-flush the mechanical seal, offering longer seal life, increased cost efficien- cy, and improved p u m p and seal reliability.
The F-Series pumps are fibre- glass reinforced plastic mechani- cally sealed p u m p s especial ly formula ted to provide tough- ness in addition to superior cor- ros ion resistance. Available in ANSI centr i fugal and self-prim- ing models , these p u m p s are suitable for such applications as industr ia l sumps, waste treat- m e n t p o n d transfer, tank car unloading and lift stations.
The ANSI d imens iona l L- Series FRP/PFA lined pumps fea- ture a u n i q u e mechan ica l seal- ing system w h i c h solves the
c o m m o n p u m p problem of seals that fail too frequently. A rotat- ing seal face is locked in the back of this p u m p ' s impeller. A large po r t i on of the seal and spr ings are s ta t ionary in the p u m p ' s chamber , a l lowing the seal to flex to match shaft def lect ion. The metal parts of the seal are p ro tec t ed from exposure to corrosive process liquid, increas ing opera t ional reliability and lower ing mainte- nance costs.

Super-clean pumps handle super-tough fluids
Discflo's latest series of sanitary disc pumps , the SP range, has been developed specifically for the food and pha rmaceu t i ca l industr ies .The pumps meet 3-A and in terna t ional hygiene stan- dards, as well as USDA require- ments .They can handle difficult media such as highly viscous fluids, abrasive fluids, f luids with stringy solids, slurries with high levels of en t r a ined air, shear sensi t ive and del icate products.
The sanitary disc p u m p has also proven successful in pump- ing delicate and shear sensitive foodstuffs such as corn, soft fruits, sugar crystals, and fish. The ability to p u m p these prod- ucts wi thout causing damage to
The SP Series of sanitary disc pumps can handle abrasive fluids and delicate, shear sen- sitive media equally well.
t hem is one of the key advan- tages of the Discflo p u m p over o ther types of pump. In non- food industr ies , the sanitary p u m p is able to move delicate p roduc t s such as b lood platelets, enzyme solutions, and catalysts w i thou t the effect of des t roying the in tegr i ty of the product.
Due to the ability to posit ion the pumpi ng mechanism inside the p u m p as far as 20 inches apart, disc pumps can p u m p flu- ids with large stringy solids such as whole chickens. Slurries with a high solids c o n t e n t like rice slurries and corn slurries are not a p roblem. Disc p u m p s can p u m p severely abrasive fluids such as oyster shell slurries and sugar solut ions wi th min imal wear to the in te rna l p u m p mechanism.
The SP Series can achieve f low rates up to 3000 gpm and discharge pressures up to 800 ft. Steam-in-place and clean-in- place versions are also available.

Efficiency drives high pressure pumps
HMD Seal/less Pumps has released a ne w range of magnet- ically dr iven high pressure p u m p s for appl ica t ions whe re leak-free safe opera t ion at high pressure is required. These seal/less p u m p s use the latest rare earth magnet synchronous coup l ing t echno logy to give greatly improved operat ing effi- c iencies c o m p a r e d to exist ing high-pressure pumps.
The range reaches heads of up to 5 8 m h e a d a n d 27m~/h, a l though h igher pressures and f low rates are available. Manu- factured in a range of materials, the p u m p s are suitable for use from -40 ° to 150°C and are capable of handling solids up to 5% w / w with 150 microns.

U Drives extend gear p u m p capabil i t ies
Variable speed drives with built- in invcr ters have ex t ended the capabil i t ies of the Mic ropump rangc of magnet ica l ly dr iven gear pumps . Thc addi t ion of these drive uni ts m e a n that these p u m p s are n o w suitable for t ransfer appl ica t ions w h i c h demand a variable p u m p output.
The n e w op t ions provide capacities from 5 m l / m i n up to

20 I /min at pressures b e t w e e n 4 and 10 bar.The n e w drives can be coupled with all the existing stainless steel magnet ica l ly dr iven gear p u m p heads available from Micropump.
The motor units are quiet and compact , and provide a cost- effective al ternative to buying separate motors and inverters. This is especially true if savings in installation costs are also taken into account. The variable speed
