Durco PolyChem S-Series plastic-lined sealed pumps are designed with various mechani- cal sealing options for perfor- mance in highly corrosive pro- cess applications. These long coupled pumps feature an over- sized "FM" seal chamber with flow modifiers to self-flush the mechanical seal, offering longer seal life, increased cost efficien- cy, and improved pump and seal reliability. The F-Series pumps are fibre- glass reinforced plastic mechani- cally sealed pumps especially formulated to provide tough- ness in addition to superior cor- rosion resistance. Available in ANSI centrifugal and self-prim- ing models, these pumps are suitable for such applications as industrial sumps, waste treat- ment pond transfer, tank car unloading and lift stations. The ANSI dimensional L- Series FRP/PFA lined pumps fea- ture a unique mechanical seal- ing system which solves the common pump problem of seals that fail too frequently. A rotat- ing seal face is locked in the back of this pump's impeller. A large portion of the seal and springs are stationary in the pump's chamber, allowing the seal to flex to match shaft deflection. The metal parts of the seal are protected from exposure to corrosive process liquid, increasing operational reliability and lowering mainte- nance costs.
