New trends and tendencies for wallpapers made of nonwovens or textile demand new printing methods.
Rotary screen printing machines are used for printing wallpapers made of nonwoven or textile because multicoloured wet-on-wet prints cannot be achieved with customary wallpaper printing machines and their applied printing systems.
The CHT group benefits from more than 50 years of knowledge throughout the entire textile process chain with their experience and application in rotary screen printing with aqueous screen printing pastes.
> OUR COMPETENCE – ROTARY SCREEN PRINTING
Rotary screen printing based on wet-on-wet printing with waterbased systems requires high demands of the wallpaper. Matching and implementation of design, screen, colour, effect, printing process and substrate have to be united. Colour depth, colour brilliancy, sharpness of outline and colour fastness have top priority.
The process reliability for implementing multicoloured designs also in combination with effects, in one working step, is a basic demand when printing on wallpaper. Printing is carried out without intermediate drying phase after every print screen as is needed when using solvent-containing systems. Composition and selection of the CHT products in accordance with the technological requirements of a rotary printing machine is of special importance.

> WALLPAPER PRINTING WITH SYSTEM
For high-grade wallpaper printing CHT offers systems consisting of harmonised and combinable components under the product name TUBIWALL. These com-ponents are basic auxiliaries and effect pastes. TUBIWALL basic auxiliaries such as binder, defoamer, emulsifiers, thickening agents, softeners, fixation auxiliaries and additives give optimal printing results. The TUBIWALL white pastes enable single coloured, high coverage white prints on dark substrates and multicoloured wet-on-wet prints with outstanding results. Metallic and gloss effects can be achieved with TUBIWALL pearlescent pastes. The high degrees of gloss and fastness properties as well as the excellent running properties are special highlights of these pastes that have many application fields and are combinable with each other. TUBIWALL foam pastes enable three-dimensional print effects. Different foam heights and various foaming temperatures allow for individual effect designs.
All TUBIWALL components can be purchased alone or as a system for special applications.
