NO LOST GENERATION: 6 COUNTRIES; 3 PILLARS
No Lost Generation programming is embedded in the response plan for Syria (HRP), refugee hosting countries (3RP) and Iraq (HRP).
NLG WORKING GROUP: PARTNERSHIP
Mobilises resources for sectors at risk of underfunding
Provides an overarching regional framework for key areasof the response
Provides a platform for joint advocacy on the priorities forchildren and youth
Amplifies the voices and perspectives of adolescents andyouth
Links efforts in different sectors to achieve results on issueswhich cannot be addressed by one sector alone, such aschild labour or child marriage
THE ADDED VALUE OF NO LOST GENERATION
At the regional level there is 1) a working group; 2) a comms group (email only – they do not meet in person).
The regional level working group leads the initiative.
Within this group there are technical focal points for each pillar.
These technical focal points cascade NLG information to and collect NLG information from coordination mechanisms in NLG countries.
Coordination mechanisms connect with their members in country.
[The NLG Tech Task Force, led by Nethope, which operates virtually, linking the NLG working group with the global private sector community.]
