TROUBLE IN OUR PRIMARY INDUSTRY

• Oil production is expected to exceed export capacity in 2018. • Further reliance on rail exports.• Political uncertainty: Trans Mountain Expansion federally, Enbridge Line 3 in Minnesota.

EXPANSION IN THE GREATER EDMONTON AREA

• Two polypropylene production facilities: combined cost of $7.5 billion and create 200+ jobs.• Infrastructure construction: roadways near EIA, LRT expansion, CN Rail upgrades.

CANNABIS PRODUCTION IN THE GREATER EDMONTON AREA

• 13 AGLC-licensed producers are expected to occupy nearly 2,000,000 SF.• Forecasted to produce over 200,000 kg per year by end-2019 and create 900 jobs.• Aurora Sky: 800,000 SF production facility at Edmonton International Airport.

DISTRIBUTION CENTRES

• 1,000,000 SF Amazon fulfillment centre expected in the Edmonton Area.• 550,000 SF AGLC Distribution Centre completed in St. Albert in May 2018.• 400,000 SF Ford Distribution Centre in Leduc completed in August 2018.
