Ange’s%birthday%is%due%for%celebra3on%this%month%and%of%course%the%excep3onally%long%public%holidays%to%enjoy,%from%Anzac%Day%to%a%five%day%weekend%over%Easter!%Although%I’m%usually%opposed%to%traveling%over%Easter,%this%year%is%an%

I%remember%the%day%I%came%to%work%with%Dr.DRiP.%We%were%bus3ng%at%the%seams%with%a%growing%team%and%Andy%thought%it%was%high%3me%he%called%in%the%‘wild%card’%to%lighten%his%load.%The%thing%was%it%wasn’t%immediate%‘roses’.%In%fact,%if%truth%be%known,%there%was%plenty%of%‘busng%heads’%with%two%terribly%strong%willed%people%trying%to%call%the%shots.%Having%come%from%a%posi3on%as%Na3onal %Sponsorship%Manager%with%Dairy%Farmers,%travelling%the%country,%with%the%responsibility%of%a%team%of%many%and%a%budget%of%$3million,%it%was%difficult%to%switch%my%brain%into%thinking%small%business.%Hey,%I’m%certainly%not%saying%that%I%thought%I%was%beVer%than%Andy,%just%that%we%lived%two%completely%separate%lives!%And%now%we%were%crammed%into%one%3ny%single%bedroom%space%as%an%office%with%no%windows%and%one%desk.%

A%few%rules%were%set%to%define%the%boundaries%of%responsibility%with%mine,%as%a%maVer%of%priority,%to%review%and%formulate%strategic%direc3on%for%the%business%and%review%and%develop%best%business%prac3ces%across%the%board.And%I%can%tell%you%one%thing%is%for%sure,%2%heads%are%beVer%than%1%(hey%for%those%of%you%without%a%partner%in%

the%business,%you%are%more%than%capable%to%do%this%on%your%own.%It%just%helps%to%have%a%sounding%board%and%support%to%know%you%are%headed%in%the%right%direc3on.%But%you%guys%already%know%that!).

So,%now%that%we’re%all%equals,%let%me%share%with%you%three%hot%3ps%of%many%that%helped%Andy%&%I%operate%as%a%true%team;

1. Keep!your!cool!%–%don’t%raise%your%voiceWe%are%faced%with%challenges%with%the%business%every%day,%so%keeping%a%level%head%to%make%quick%decisions%is%important.%Flying%off%the%handle%doesn’t%do%anyone%any%favours.

2. Listen!to!each!others!point!of!view%–%no%interrup3ons.%

I%am%always%interested%to%hear%Andy’s%opinion%and%point%of%view%with%regard%to%a%situa3on%for%more%o]en%than%not%he%has%a%view%that%I%had%not%considered%and%at%3mes,%can%change%my%thinking.%This%is%cri3cal%to%produc3ve%collabora3on.%

3. Don’t!make!it!personal,!keep!it!professional%%

Keep%your%comments%strictly%about%the%work,%even%if%you%are%angry%about%something%that%happened%at%home.%Remember%the%line%in%the%sand%is%drawn%–%work%is%work%and%home%is%home.%Don’t%cross%the%two%over.%Ever!Don’t%take%your%partners%comments%personally%when%they%pull%you%up%on%something.%Remember%they%have%the%good%of%the%business%in%mind.%Never%hold%a%grudge.

I%would%argue%that%these%three%3ps%transcend%to%all%business%partners%regardless%of%the%make%up.%As%long%as %they%are%adhered%to,%there%should%be%no%issues!Andy%would%joke%with%you%‘happy%wife%happy%life!’.

Samsung%has%laid%down%the%gauntlet%in%the%tablet%wars%to%

Apple%with%this%very%compe33ve%pricing.

Samsung%will%make%their%tablet%available%through%Vodafone%

from%mideApril,%in%stores%and%online.%Its%availability,%however%

would%be%limited.%Vodafone%would%exclusively%sell%the%Tab%

10.1v%for%three%months.%It%would%then%disappear%from%the%

Australian%market%when%stocks%run%out.

Some3me%later%this%year,%probably%the%third%quarter,%a%new%

Galaxy%Tab%10.1%and%Galaxy%Tab%8.9%would%be%available%in%its%

place,%with%10.1%inch%and%8.9%inch%displays%respec3vely.%
