“HOME” IS THE FIRST RELEASE FROM EDENS MARCH’S FORTHCOMING EP UNDERNEATH THE SHEEPSKIN
www.theaandrdepartment.com EDENS MARCH “HOME”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Edens March is a four-‐piece alternative rock band from the east coast of NSW. Formed in 2009, Zimbabwean born front man David Chieza (vocals & synth), twin brothers Nathan & Trent Miller (bass & drums) and guitarist Lachlan Dolbel came together to produce a vast, upbeat indie-‐pop-‐rock miscellany often compared to the likes of Phoenix, Kasabian, and Two Door Cinema Club. The Edens March sound features powerful atmospheric bass lines, delicate delay soaked guitar lines and captivating vocal melodies that has mesmerized crowds and even won the boys the top spot in the Budweiser/Red Bull Battle of the Bands. In 2009 the band released the self-‐titled/produced EP, Edens March, and are due to release their sophomore EP Underneath The Sheepskin in early 2012. The first release, “Home”, off their forthcoming EP is a song of great importance to the band. Written around the time of the seemingly endless string of natural disasters and countless violent uprisings across the globe, it captures the overwhelming feeling of helplessness, and the enormous optimism in the collective spirit of humanity brought on by the turmoil. “We were going through a process where this song just came out and captured everything we were feeling about our society and our place in it” David says. “Home” will be available online from the 11th November.
