About the team:The Regulatory, Economic, and Technical Services line of business supports public- and private-sector clients in the full-range of regulatory and economic activities. For clients with regulatory responsibilities, we offer a diversity of policy and economic support, such as estimate costs and benefits of regulations, policies, and programs. We also summarize and help develop responses to public comments, help draft regulatory language, provide outreach and training support, and evaluate program implementation. Additionally, we evaluate program effectiveness. This line of business works with virtually all major federal agencies, with key clients that include program offices across the Department of Labor, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of the Interior, and Environmental Protection Agency, as well as state and local agencies, and private-sector clients.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:Participate in engagements to support federal and state government clients who develop and implement policies and regulations affecting energy, the labor markets, transportation, the environment, and other national priorities.Conduct program evaluations.Create written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal/external clients.Resolve issues effectively with projects/clients.

Basic Qualifications:Master's Degree in economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.Ability to demonstrate strong quantitative skills.Advanced experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills/Experience:1+ years of experience in cost-benefit analysis or other quantitative analysis.1+ years of experience in program evaluation.1+ years of experience managing databases or conducting statistical analysis with Access, Stata, SAS, or similar tools.U.S. citizenship.

Professional Skills:Strong written and oral communication skills.Presentation skills, including experience with presenting concepts to clients (both internal and external).Strong outreach, organizational and self-motivation skills.High level of attention to detail.Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism.
