The Client
Our client, an enterprising one, has been into business for a noteworthy
period of time. Having a sound understanding of local market dynamics, our
client came up with a unique idea called Pegpay for local businesses. Pegpay
is a store credit system that allows local businesses to offer discounted rates
to their loyal customers. Quite pioneering in vision and innovative in
concept, our client developed the Pegpay system to allow local businesses to
offer exclusive discounts to loyal customers without shaving off their profit
margins. It is also a great way of holding on to your existing customer base
and keeping them happy and satisfied.
Requirements
When the client came to us, he first of all explained the concept of Pegpay to
the Radix team. Once we had a clear understanding of what his vision was
and what he was looking to do, we started analyzing Radix’s role in the
scheme of things. Our scope of involvement spanned across designing,
developing, testing, and deploying the solution. We further broke down this
scope into individual requirements as follows:
The client wanted Radix to develop a user friendly system within the
prescribed timeframe and budgetary specifications.
The system should combine the features of e-commerce and social
networking platform in a simple but extensive manner.
The system should connect service seekers with service providers.
The system should involve a short and simple registration process.
The system users should be able to maintain their profile as either a
service seeker or a service provider.

The system should have a unique pegging and time constraint
feature for the services.
The system should allow service seekers and service providers to
interact within themselves.
The system should display the service providers based on their service
location.
The client wanted the system admin to be able to have user
management capabilities.
The admin should be able to manage the services and offers provided
by the service providers of the system.
The admin should have control over the content of the system.
Radix Approach
Once the requirement gathering was done, we focused our attention on
analyzing the requirements. We got our team of business analysts together
to review the scope of efforts involved. They started out by first of all
understanding the client’s business objective. Based on this they studied the
system requirements and suggested a few things. They identified the critical
system features based on their business implications. Our project
management team identified the ideal resources to handle these
requirements. They divided the whole development project into phases to
better manage them. Each of these phases was handed over to the best
suitable resource. Thus, we had a well outlined strategic approach in place
for the project.

The Solution
With all ambiguities out of way, the Radix development team had a clear and
concise idea of what was to be done. They immediately started working on
the module wise features that were identified in the analysis phase. Finally,
what we were able to deliver to the client was marked by the following:
First of all, we successfully developed the Pegpay system within
prescribed timelines and budget constraints.
We developed Pegpay to act as a platform for marketing and accessing
services and products.
The system has a very simple look and feel as demanded by the client.

The system requires the users to undergo a registration process
which once they are done with requires them to log into the system.
The system classifies the users into three roles – service providers,
service seekers, and admin.
The system allows a user to be a service seeker and a service provider
simultaneously.
As demanded by the client, the system displays service providers
based on their service location.
The system offers a unique pegging feature to the service seekers that
they can use to lock offers in the system for future use.
The system supports every offer with coupons that decrease in number
with more and more users pegging.
With every peg, the system adds the offer into service seeker’s
account for specific time to allow him time for purchase decision.
The service seekers of the site can interact with their counterparts.
The system further acts as a community portal and allows the users to
add friends into the system and gives out alert notifications with every
friend update.
A user can maintain his profile and manage his account on the system
which includes peg balance, store, coupons, products, etc.
