1| B/. We can find the Magellanic penguin on the coast of Argentina, Chile and on Falkland Islands and Falklands. Between April and August, the bird migrates northward. It is named after the explorer Magellan, the first European who discovered the South of the American continent. It returns every year to the same place for the nesting which lasts approximately 40 days, taken care as much by the male as the female. The penguin is pelagic, he feeds essentially on fishes, but also on cephalopods and on shellfish. Although they are the most numerous of their species, but still they are threatened by the marine pollution, by the excessive fishing which deprives them of the food and which traps them in nets, by the collection of eggs and by the tourism which affects its natural space.
