    SuStainabilityandthe GReen Revolution

You dont have to be a scientist. You dont have to be an

economist. You dont have to be a fortune teller. You dont

have to be all that smart. Common sense will tell you. Your gut

instincts will tell you that THIS is not a sustainable model. The

    status quo cannot sustain us.

Revolutions start on Main Street, initiated at the Grass

Roots, and carried on the backs of the people. Revolutions by

their very nature, are not top-down affairs. The top has histori-

cally clung to the power of the status quo and proven unwilling or

uninterested in change. The people, tired of the status quo, taketo the streets and simply over-throw them.

We are moving full speed into yet another revolution The

Green Revolution. Like all revolutions before, it was born out

of necessity. The pressure for change is building. The clock is

ticking. There is an urgency to change. Time is always on the

side of history. But this time its different. With this revolution, time may very well side with geologic history. This planet will

continue on its merry path around its modest star, in an average

spiral galaxy, with or without us, one way or another, just like it

has done for 4.5 billion and 41 years.

Business as usual, the status quo, is no longer acceptable.

The paradigms established over a century ago, no longer t ournew realities. We must change.

We need to reshape a world of our choosing, a world we

can all be proud of, a world which can sustain All of humanity.

We need to ensure for our children, and our childrens children,

the same quality of life that we have so enjoyed and taken for

    granted.

Its on us, the people, to live the changes today that we

would wish for our children to see tomorrow.

Have fun advancing your own sustainability and earning your

way to your own ECO-Green Card! Mikel Lolley
