Eco Moisture Separator Additionally, Camfil Farr offers two drainage equipped side access housings: MOISTURE/PACK® - Single-stage housing, 12” deep, with drain. It is ideal where minimal space is available, or where particulate filters are utilized elsewhere in the system. ECO GLIDE/PACK® - Three-stage housing with drainage provided in the first stage. Second stage accommodates a 2” Camfil Farr 30/30®. The third stage has universal holding frames to accept a variety of filters and efficiencies. Camfil Farr Product Sheet Eco Moisture Separator - RPEMS1004-06-04 Camfil Farr - Industrial Products CAMFIL FARR ECO MOISTURE SEPARATORS are highly effective in significantly reducing oil mist, water mist, fog or droplets from outside or recirculated air. In addition, they are useful downstream of DX or chilled water coils, and steam or mist-type humidifiers which allow saturated air to condense out. CONSTRUCTION – The 2” deep media pack is encased in a 4” deep, 16-gauge galvanized steel enclosing frame and is comprised of multiple, alternate layers of flat and crimped, galvanized screen. PERFORMANCE – The separator is 98% efficient on 20 micron droplet size at 500 fpm. Velocity should not exceed 550 fpm or go below 450 fmp without consulting factory. INSTALLATION – The ECO Moisture Separator must be vertically installed in order to operate at peak efficiency. A “TOP” marker is provided for proper orientation during installation. Mounting hardware must be designed to support the moisture separator with adequate drain-age. Eco Moisture SeparatorTo ensure proper installation and drainage, a “TOP”marker shall be placed by the manufacturer on the popof the enclosing frame.

Built-up banks shall consist of Farr Type 8 HoldingFrames. A drain trough must be provided by the installerunder each row of separators and frames to carry offaccumulated liquids.

Performance – When installed vertically, the separatorshall be 98% efficient on 20 micron moisture droplets at500 fpm (2.54 m/s) face velocity.

Airflow resistance at 500 fpm (2.54 m/s) shall not begreater than 0.25” w.g. (0.06 kPa). Airflow shall notexceed 550 fpm (2.79 m/s) to avoid liquid carry-over.

Note: Stainless steel may be inserted as on option in lieu of galvanized steel.

For filter banks morethan five filters wide,bank should beseparated near thecenter for an addi-tional downspout.

Moisture Separators shall be Camfil Farr Type ECO.They shall be permanent, cleanable, all metal, panel type.Each separator shall consist of steel screen media andenclosing frames.

Media pack shall be constructed of 15 corrugated and flatlayers of galvanized screen wire. It shall be 2” (51 mm) deepand be permanently fastened together to ensure rigidity.

Enclosing frameshall be 16-gaugegalvanized steel,4” (102 mm) deep,with flush, miteredand re in forcedcorners . F ramebottoms shall beequipped with aminimum of three0.375” (9.5 mm)diameter drainholes.
