Emission Monitoring Systems
Folded beam in-situ analyzers are compact systems requiring only
a minimum of maintenance. The sensor heads are provided with
inputs to connect external signals representing flow, particles and
O . RS485 communication allows convenient network connection₂
of several heads to one data server.
Extractive analytical systems to monitor pollutants in a “dry” gas
with a chiller based sample conditioning to remove water content
from the analysed gas stream. Optical transducers are monitoring
content of pollutants.
“Hot / wet” extractive analyzers based on GFC or FTIR principle of
operation. To allow analysis of the in water soluable gases the
sample is kept heated above the dew point through the entire
heated analytic system. Mercury monitoring analyzer can be also
applied.
TDL Analyzers to monitor NH , HCl, HF and H O can use extractive₃ ₂
design connected to heated sampling lines, or can measure directly
in a duct or stack.

Since 1991 ECM Group companies are
offering in countries of Central and Eastern
Europe turnkey del iver y emiss ion
monitoring systems. Expert teams in all
countries are providing technical support
for reliable long term operation of the
delivered systems.
Automated Emission Monitoring Systems consist from gas analytic instrumentation, from particle and
flow monitors, sensors of flue gas temperature and pressure, sampling components, appropriate
instrumentation housing and a data acquisition system. Components of the analytical part are in
compliance to EN14181 standard.
Gas Analyzers
In accordance to the application ECM Group is offering different kinds of appropriate gas analytical
solutions to monitor SO , NOX, CO, CO , O , NH , HCl, HF, TOC, H O and Hg.₂ ₂ ₂ ₃ ₂
Dew point analyzers of acid gases such as H SO₂ ₄
or ABS are based on condensation and
evaporation on the tip of a periodically cooled
and heated probe.
Particle monitors
Part i c le moni tors based on opt ica l or
electrodynamic and tribo principle of operation
allow optimal monitoring of particles behind ESP,
bag filters or other dust retaining equipment.
Flow monitors
Flow monitors based on Pitot tube, thermal
conductivity or ultrasonic sensors are important
to determine the total emissions.
Long term samplers
Long term samplers with cartridges for later
evaluation of dioxines, furanes and metals.
Multipoint isokinetic sampling and appropriate
dilution with purified air for representation
results.
Isokinetic sampling trains
Isokinetic sampling trains for gravimetric
evaluation of particle concentration and
consequent laboratory analysis of dioxines,
furanes, metals, acids and other compounds.
FID Analyzers for TOC monitoring provided with heated cells and heated sampling to avoid
condensation. Combustion air and hydrogen generators are included in the systems.
Data systems
ECM is a MSW based software to collect, process, present, archive information for the analytic
instrumentation and also execute the necessary supportive functions. Part of the data system
is a data logger to control the analytic instrumentation on the monitoring site and increase system
safety by redundant storing of monitored data.
Mobile and portable instruments
Analytic instrumentation for laboratories and testing
purposes designed for operation in harsh industrial
environment.
ECM CEMS – main functions
· Periodic data acquisition from the data loggers or
immediately from the monitoring instruments
· Presentation of instantaneous values of pollutants and
auxiliary parameters (SO , CO, NOX, CO , HCl, HF, NH , TOC,₂ ₂ ₃
dust, flow, O , temperature, pressure, moisture and₂
others).
Processing
· One minute averages of all monitored values
· 30 min (and / or 10 min)
· Daily averages
· Achieving into standard data base system (MS SQL, DBase,
Access)
· Data recovery upon establishing of communication to data
loggers to avoid loss of data
Evaluation
· Emissions in terms of mass flow in kg/day (Month, Year)
· Emission limit values
· Pollution forecast (usually for current short time average)
· Warning for exceeding of limit values
· Statistics of exceeding of limits, invalid data, down time
· Protocols in accordance to EU legislation
· Logging of important events and alarms
· QAL 3 evaluation support
Monitoring
· Monitoring and parameter setting in central PC
· Data presentation in tabular and graphical form
· Included Web Server - possibility to present the monitoring on Intranet Web client visualization
· Multilingual support
· Safe password protection system
Maintenance
· Possibility of a remote access supervision
· Remote access allows flexible maintenance of main PC and data loggers
ECM CEMS – Optional functions
· System extension
· Multifuel System functions
· Modbus, MB US, BAC NET interconnection to other systems
· Data export to plant information systems or data bases
· Data transfer to DCS and other plant control systems
