聯合國兒童基金香港委員會(UNICEF HK)藉着多元化的教育活動,致力推廣聯合國《兒童權利公約》,讓每一名兒童及青少年都能了解兒童權利與其切身的關係,並成為世界公民關心本地及世界兒童的需要,致力給每一名兒童締造更理想的成長環境。

同時,我們亦積極發展不同活動及資源以配合教育同工的需要。在 2018/19 年 度,我 們 加 入 全 新 體 驗 學 習 活 動「Outside Classroom」,以多樣學習元素拓闊學生的視野。此外,我們繼續提供學校講座、互動教育劇場、校園伙伴計劃,以及青年實踐平台等,將兒童權利的議題由學校環境聯繫至社區。我們期盼與各位教育同工攜手推廣兒童權利,加深學生對兒童權利的認識、培養其同理心及世界公民意識。

敬希您能將本教育活動簡介傳閱至負責部門或同工,讓更多老師及教育工作者了解 UNICEF HK 的教育工作,共同推動兒童權利教育的實踐與發展。

Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF HK) dedicates to promoting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child through diverse education programmes, so that every child and young person can understand their own interests in relation to child rights. Also, these programmes encourage the participants to become global citizens where they care about the well-being of local and overseas children, as well as to strive to build a better world for every child.

Also, we are active in developing different activities and resources to meet the needs of educators. In the school year of 2018/19, the experiential learning activity Outside Classroom will be newly introduced to provide multipronged learning elements and the opportunities to broaden students’ perspectives. In addition, we provide school talks, interactive drama education tours, school partnerships and participative platforms for youth, which connect child rights issues between schools and communities. We look forward to working with educators to advance child rights, to deepen students’ knowledge on child rights, to instill a sense of empathy and global citizenship.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could circulate this brochure to respective teachers and departments, we look forward to working hand in hand with you to further the development of child rights education.

以心回應 Responding

在探索過程中,參加者將深入了解指定議題。Through exploration, participants will gain a deeper understanding on a selected issue.

透過多角度分析,建立個人觀點、培養同理心、關注人道議題及致力參與相關事務。With a wide range of perspectives, participants can establish their own points of view, cultivate empathy for humanitarian issues and develop a sense of commitment.

攜手行動 Taking Action鼓勵參加者提出切實可行的方案,透過理性行動,推動社會正面改變。Equipped with essential knowledge and attitudes, participants are encouraged to give practical suggestions with careful consideration, in order to bring positive changes to society.

1996聯合國兒童基金香港委員會自 1996 年起於本地開展青年活動。UNICEF HK started the development of youth programmes in 1996.

+200每年超過 200 間中小學參與本會的教育及青年項目。More than 200 primary and secondary schools participated in our school and youth programmes each year.

+2,000至今 , 我們培育了超過 2,000 位兒童權利倡議者,推廣兒童權利。More than 2,000 trained child rights advocates joined to promote child rights.

Our Objectives1. Raise public awareness of child rights Strengthen the dissemination of the United Nations

Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and facilitate its application in schools and society.

2. Promote civic engagement and participation Encourage children and youth to actively participate

in social affairs, engage them in decision-making and develop their full potential to become child rights advocates.

3. Promote commitment to global solidarity Enhance children and youth’s awareness of global

development and provide them with opportunities to contribute to the realization of child rights globally.

UNICEF HK 於去年到訪超過 80 間中、小學與學生交流,並進行超過100 場學校講座,以互動的形式、影片及生命故事,讓學生認識世界各地兒童的生活狀況,並了解本會在兒童生存、保護、發展及公民參與各方面所作出的努力。

Last year, UNICEF HK visited over 80 primary and secondary schools, and conducted over 100 school talks. Through interactive approach,videos and sharing of life stories, we helped students to understand the living conditions of children around the world, plus our efforts in enhancing children’s rights to survival, protection and development.

武裝衝突與難民兒童Armed Conflict & Child Refugee

了解武裝衝突如何剝削兒童的各種權利,探討童兵及難民兒童的需要。To understand how children’s rights are being deprived by armed conflict and to discuss the threats facing by child soldiers and child refugees.

自然災害與兒童Natural Disaster & Children

認識自然災害及氣候變化對兒童帶來的影響,了解 UNICEF 的緊急救援工作和受災兒童的需要。To understand the impact of natural disasters and climate change on children, UNICEF’s emergency work and the needs of affected population.

本地青年心聲:「聆聽.一分鐘」校園放映School Screening: A Quarter for Listening

將香港青少年的成長經歷及其生命故事,透過創作的一分鐘短片,讓觀眾窺探本地青年的憂慮、關注及想法;並鼓勵學生主動分享「心底話」,在朋輩的心聲中尋找共鳴。Local young people share their experiences of growing up and life stories by making one-minute videos, where audiences can gain a better understanding of their anxieties, concerns and views. It also encourages students to share their inner feelings that resonate with their peers.

一小時紀錄片放映系列:只適合中學 1-hour Documentary Screening Series : for secondary school only

青年心聲Thoughts of Youth

黃修平導演及其團隊與青少年攜手製作青年紀錄片《明天我》,透過貼身採訪三名青少年創作短片的過程及深度訪談,了解當下香港青少年的處境及想法。Director Adam Wong Sau-ping and his crew to join hands with three contestants to produce a youth documentary " The Way Out " that captures the lives and struggles of Hong Kong youth. The documentary interweaves deep chat with youth and then family, with behind-the-scenes.

杜絕兒童人口販賣End Child Trafficking

透過播放關於全球人口販賣及現代奴隸制度的紀錄片《非我人生》,了解受害兒童的無助處境及受剝奪的兒童權利。Through “Not My Life”, a documentary that depicts the truth of human trafficking and modern slavery, to gain understanding in the helplessness of child victims and the deprivation of child rights.

在「贏在起跑線」的氣氛下,香港有不少小學生與 Turbo 一樣面對家人期望與學業壓力。本劇場《拯救 Turbo Online》引領學生走進主角 Turbo 的世界,一同參與故事發展及決定 Turbo命運。透過經歷不同的情景及互動環節,讓學生輕鬆了解兒童權利、尊重及義務等概念。劇場今年新增親子場次,歡迎家長教師會申請。

Under the “Win at the starting line” social atmosphere, many students are just like Turbo, who face parental expectations and academic pressures. The show, Saving Turbo from Trouble Online, guides students to walk into the world of the protagonist Turbo, and decide the plot development and fate of Turbo. Through experiencing different scenarios and interactive sessions, the show helps students to master concepts in relation to child rights, respect, responsibility, etc. This year, we have added parent-kid sessions, and welcome applications from parent-teacher associations.

體驗式學習活動 Outside Classroom

了解本地及世界各地兒童的生活狀況Understand children’s living conditions locally and globally

培養學生同理心,探討自身在議題上的角色Cultivate students’ sense of empathy and explore their role in the issue

鼓勵關注兒童權利,回應各種兒童議題Encourage participants to care about child rights and respond to related issues

讓參加者透過模擬真實處境 ,體驗不同的兒童困境,從而學習本地及世界各地的兒童議題。參加者可設身處地思考兒童應有的權利及其面對的困難,並鼓勵他們為兒童權利出一分力。

Through simulating real conditions, participants can experience the challenges children, so that they can have a better understanding of local and face international child rights issues. From structured activities, children participants are guided to know the child rights and difficulties their counterparts may have at different contexts. With the shared feelings and findings from own exploration, participants are then encouraged to work hand in hand to build a better and more child-friendly community.

考察公園,了解兒童遊戲權利及共融遊樂場的概念,並動手設計理想的遊樂場。Gain an understanding of the rights to play and the concept of inclusive playground by making field visits to local parks. Participants will create together their ideal playground model.

貧窮大作戰Poverty challenge

親身體驗貧窮對兒童的影響,並鼓勵他們為貧窮兒童發聲。Through encouraged different simulating exercises, participants can experience the effects of poverty on children and are encouraged to speak up for children living in poverty.

緊急救援 x 籌款體驗Emergency rescue andfundraising experience

了解黃金 72 小時災難回應的工作;同時提供實踐機會,鼓勵參加者於校內舉辦籌款活動,培養其世界公民意識。Through interactive sessions, participants can experience emergency response to disasters within 72 hours. This activity also encourages participants to organize school fundraising activities and cultivate the sense of global citizenship.

校園伙伴計劃旨在提升教師及學生的全球素養、建立個人自覺,從而締造一個「權利、尊重、義務與責任」並存的學習環境,創造空間以開展各項與全球兒童議題及兒童權利教育有關的課程和活動。

UNICEF HK School Partnership Scheme is to develop the global competence and self-awareness of teachers and students, so as to establish a learning environment with “right, respect, obligation and responsibility” and make space for planning and implementing the curricula and activities of global child issues and children's rights.

自 2012 年起,「聆聽.一分鐘」以創新方法鼓勵青少年製作逾 520 條一分鐘短片故事,與社會分享成長的憂慮、關注及需要;同時以「一分鐘故事.一刻鐘聆聽」為口號,凝聚社會各界用心聆聽與回應兒童與青少年的處境及盼望,體現兒童參與權。

Since 2012, Make A Video (MAV) has motivated young people to produce over 520 one-minute videos, and tell their stories of growing-up anxieties, concerns and needs creatively. In addition, MAV facilitates an environment where society can listen closely and respond to the concerns and expectations of children and young people. Through the idea of ‘A minute in the telling, a quarter for listening’, the children’s right to participation can be realized.

Young people tend to remain silent and refrain from sharing their own views with parents because they are shy or avoid stirring up troubles. Make A Video provides an opportunity for us to share their views and enhance communication through a direct yet special manner.

A participant was nominated for “The One Minutes Jr. Awards 2017 competition” and attended the award ceremony in Amsterdam.

徐同學因入選國際賽的 15 強,獲 UNICEF HK 贊助前往荷蘭參與為期 5 天的國際青年短片大師班及出席頒獎禮,與來自世界各地的青年人交流、分享戰亂、生活和學習等課題,是一次難得而寶貴的學習機會。Aurora was one of the 15 finalists at global competition. With UNICEF HK’s support, she flew to Amsterdam and took part in a five-day masterclass and award ceremony. It was a great learning opportunity for Aurora, as she mingled with young people from other countries and exchanged views on war, living, learning and other topics.

UNICEF Club has been a platform for diversified student training since 2007. Innovation Lab 希望透過由與年輕人共同協作,來孕育不同的創新項目,將意念轉化為實際行動和可行的解決方法,推動兒童發展及權益。

我們提供:● 建議、訓練和躍進課堂支援具創意的年輕人,以協助他們戰勝挑戰,

為社會上的兒童問題找出答案;● 定期的會員活動,讓志趣相投的年輕人互相學習和交換心得;● 啟導服務,讓年輕人有機會與專家一同工作。

UNICEF HK Innovation Lab is here to assist local youngsters with the can-do-more attitude, to take up the leadership role, tackle social child-related issues, co-innovate to turn innovative ideas into robust and practical solutions, and eventually become an agent of change.

We offer:

● Trainings, advice, jumpstart sessions which allow youth innovators to create solutions and to overcome challenges;

● Regular social events and gatherings for members to learn best practices and gain knowledge;

● Mentoring. Youngsters have chances to work side-by-side with subject experts.

在參與計劃期間,我們 60 多位中學生在這裏相識相知,從陌生到無話不談,從對兒童議題一知半解到收穫滿滿並成為正式的青年使者,一路的學習與成長難以忘懷。對我來說有機會跳出舒適圈,接觸來自全港的朋友,各有見識,在她們身上學到要對夢想堅持,以及服務社會的精神。更重要的是,經驗令我更堅定日後投身於兒童教育事業以及社會服務!

My journey in the Young Envoys programme is truly unforgettable! I and other 60 participants had grown up a lot. Initially, we were shy and knew little about child rights. But after spending so much time together and with all the learning and training, we confided in each other and became Young Envoys who were well-versed in child rights. More importantly, it was an invaluable opportunity where I could jump out of my comfort zone and met people from all walks of life. Their stories inspired me to stand up for my dreams and to serve the community. All in all, the experience solidified my resolve to work for children’s education and serve the community in the future.

The education kit is designed to provide support to primary and secondary school teachers in facilitating them to teach students about issues related to child refugees.The kit includes teacher handouts, student handouts, lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations and relevant teaching videos as references for teachers.

UNICEF HK one-stop education web portal provides the platform for diversified education resources. It aims to support teachers to bring the child issues into the classroom, e.g. Global Goals, war & refugee children, natural disaster & children, water & sanitation, local issues and rights to play. Sign up as members for free, and download the education resources (e.g. lesson plan, powerpoint and video).
