WHAT DO WE DO NOW? STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR GOAL
Year 13
Although the system for working out the final BTEC
and A Level grades has not been published, it’s
looking increasingly likely that we’ll be asked to
offer predicted grades.
Ensure that all your work is complete, accessible
and where applicable, you have submitted it.
Complete any coursework, asap after Easter. Ask if
you are unsure.
Explore your university course – what can you
read before you go
OR, Log into all Apprenticeships sites and
register yourself for September
Complete MOOCs – see page 3
BECOME VOLUNTEERS SEE PAGE 4
Year 12
You must complete all your work set by your
teachers by the deadline dates, throughout this
closed period.
Don’t slow down your learning even though you
are at home; it will be too difficult for you to
return into Y13 with unfinished work from Y12.
Even if you are considering changing a subject in
Y13 you need a full year’s work for assessment.
Ask if you’re unsure. Plus:
Explore universities
Explore Apprenticeships
Mrs Mattingley will be contacting you straight after Easter for personal statement writing via Podcast and Teams.
Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) to select after Easter
Complete MOOCs - -see page 3

SOCIAL INTERACTION WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP YOURSELF & OTHERS
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING
Working at home has become the new ‘normal’ for us and whilst we adjust we must remember to be active for a healthy body and build a healthy mind. Connect with People
Keep in contact with your friends with your phones; not just on line, talk! Call your Gran and teach her how to use her computer or phone to see you. Email teachers and join all classes. Have a routine
Try and follow your ordinary routine as much as possible. Get up and dressed. Plan your time. Write it down – like a timetable, so you get a sense of achievement at the end of each day.
Stay active Build physical activity into your daily routine. Engage in online workouts: The Marines 5-step workout at home no equipment; Miss Arnold on Instagram: BEA Wellbeing.
Find ways to relax and be creative Try activities that help you relax and take notice of what is happening around you – is your family needing you more?
