Eastminster Presbyterian Church is a church of the
Presbyterian Church, USA
The Children and Youth Faith Formation Committee needs the congregation's
help to make this year’s VBS a great success. Many volunteer opportunities
remain including a Games Leader, Crew Leaders and Assistants who guide the
children throughout the day, a Decorations Leader, a Music Assistant and more.
Please take a look at the VBS sign-up sheet in the Commons Area to see where
you can help. If you can't be here in person, please consider a monetary
donation to offset the cost of supplies and food or perhaps a donation to our
charitable recipient - Wildlife Rehab of Greenville. A list of their most common
needs is below. The committee is also seeking camping gear we can use for
decorations. If you have any items you're willing to allow us to use, please leave
them at the church labeled with your name before Wednesday,
July 26 when we begin decorating.
Donations Needed for VBS Charity:
Fleece or Flannel Baby Blankets Money
Heating Pads w/o Auto Shut-off Latex Gloves
Kleenex & Paper Towels Pedialyte
Nuts in the shell Bleach
Pet Cages & Accessories Aspen Shavings
Pet Carriers of all sizes
Water Bottles, Food Crocks
Newspapers (no slick ads)
To contact or make donations to WRG any time, email
[email protected]. Every little bit helps!

Did you know that to send our ten participants, the total cost was $5750? This includes the house rental,
food, drinks, Conference t-shirts, youth conference fee, and adult advisors. Each youth pays a $275
conference fee plus $50 to help cover the cost of food. With youth fees, the Bistro fundraiser and a generous
gift that covered part of each youth participants registration fee, around $4500 was collected. The remainder
of the money comes from the youth budget and donations to the youth ministry fund. To support the youth
ministry at Eastminster, please consider donating to the youth ministry fund to offset cost of Montreat.
Grace and peace- Pressley

The Outreach Committee is pleased to
announce our 2nd Annual Eastminster
Summer Food Drive. This year's drive began
on Sunday, June 11 and will conclude on
Sunday, August 13. Everyone is encouraged
to bring Non-Perishable food items to
donate. Last summer, we collected 1042
items for those who struggle with hunger,
especially when school is in recess. This
summer, our goal is 1500 items.
We will split the donations between Golden
Strip Emergency Relief and United
Ministries. Next time you visit the grocery
store, remember your neighbors
and bring an extra can or box to donate.
