My dear Confreres,
THE LORD IS RISEN INDEED!LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD!
If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not beenraised; and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation
has been in vain and your faith has been in vain… For if thedead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ
has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in yoursins. - 1 Corinthians 15: 13-17
The time is fast approaching to joyfully celebrate the most joyful andsolemn feast of the Church – the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. For is rightly believed that the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ isthe greatest of all miracles. Undoubtedly, it is the most wonderfulcelebration since it reminds us of the great victory of Jesus Christ oversin and death. By the triumph of Jesus over Satan and death, Jesusmade us a new creation. Indeed, the resurrection of Jesus Christ isthe foundation of our faith as Christians since all the basic doctrines ofChristianity are founded on this very event. Therefore, if we questionthe event of resurrection, our very faith in Jesus is at risk. For, thepassion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is neither a parable nora story but a history – an event that occurred at particular time of thehuman history. That’s why, St. Paul says clearly: For if the dead are notraised, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 1 Cor. 15: 17
The celebration of Easter calls for a new life in Christ, a metanoia. Inthe words of St. Paul: “Our paschal lamb, Christ, has beensacrificed. Therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, theyeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity andtruth. The true sign of our sharing in the risen life of Jesus is that ourlives and our behavior must undergo a thorough change. All those whobelieve in Christ and hope in him, will be saved from death anddamnation. They will taste the fruits of the Holy Spirit i.e. the fruits ofsalvation.
In fact, a genuine faith Jesus Christ and true love for his message willdefinitely bring transformation. Jesus asks us to be his witnesses in theworld. It is an invitation to share our Easter joy and the gift of life withthose around us. Therefore, let us proclaim happily, The Lord is risenindeed – Let us Rejoice and be glad.

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will
never die. – John 11: 26-26
