New Prison Mentoring OpportunityFollowing�Jesus’�command�to�serve�Him�by�serving�those�who�have�been�cast�aside�(Matthew�25:�31-46),�a�Mentoring�Program�at�Perry�Correctional�Institution�

has been started. The hope is that every inmate would be mentored by a Christian man from�our�community.�Qualifications�include�having�a�compassionate�heart�and�a�listening�ear.

Perry�is�an�all-male�prison�located�at�430�Oaklawn�Road�in�Pelzer,�about�a�14-minute�drive�from�Simpsonville’s�Walmart�Supercenter.��Each�mentor�will�meet�at�the�prison�with�an�inmate�assigned�to�him�based�on�common�interests�collected�from�a�mentor�form.��Mentoring�sessions�will�take�place�every�other�Monday�from�6:30-8:00�p.m.��Mandatory�mentor�training�will�be�provided�on�Saturday,�March�31,�2018,�from�8:30-11:30�a.m.�at�Simpsonville�First�Baptist�Church,�3�Hedge�Street�in�Simpsonville.
