Join the East Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary and join a family of friendly, caring people. You don’t have to be retired to volunteer, even volunteering four hours per month can make a difference.

Register for Trips November 2nd: Million Dollar Quartet, The Springer Opera House, Columbus, GA The Tony Award Winning musical, Million Dollar Quartet is set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for The greatest impromptu recording session of all time. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny. Showcased hit songs include: “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and more. Don’t miss your chance to be a fly on the wall of fame as the “Million Dollar Quartet” performs their greatest rockabilly, gospel and country hits. November 17th: Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA), Atlanta, GA MODA is the only museum in the Southeast dedicated exclusively to the study and celebration of all things design. Formed in 1989 as the Atlanta International Museum of Art & Design, MODA has grown and evolved over the years to become the Southeast’s only design museum. The museum also holds the distinction of being a Smithsonian Affiliate. MODA's mission is to advance the understanding and appreciation of design as the convergence of creativity and functionality through exhibitions, education, and programming for visitors of all ages. The cost of the trip includes admission and transportation. Please bring extra money for lunch. $15. Payable to AAB. Friday, November 17th • 9am - 6pm. December 4th: South Cobb Christmas House Arts & Crafts Show, Mableton, GA The Christmas House Arts & Crafts Show takes place every year in early December at the Mable House Arts Center in Mableton, GA. It is a juried show with a Christmas theme. All of the items are handcrafted, from bath products to hand turned wood. Buyers will find just about everything they need for holiday gifts as well as items to be used year round. We will also enjoy lunch at Mable’s Tea Room where all proceeds fund projects within the Mableton Community and the SCAA Scholarship Program. The cost of the trip includes transportation. Please bring extra money for lunch and shopping. $5. Payable to AAB. Monday, December 4th • 9am - 6pm. DATE CHANGE! December 8th: A Chili Country Christmas, We Piddle Around Theater, Brundidge, AL A Chili Country Christmas is the best kind of Christmas. There is no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to sit down to a bowl of hot chili on a chilly, winter night and enjoy the songs and stories of the Christmas season. Each Chili Country Christmas event celebrates the merriment of the season and brings renewed awareness to the real reason for the season. The 2017 Chili Country Christmas Storytelling Event will follow past shows with renowned performances with your meal of a chili supper with all the fixin's and a holiday dessert. We will arrive early to enjoy a wagon ride through historical downtown Brundidge. The cost of the trip includes transportation, admission and dinner. $25. Payable to AAB. Friday, December 8th • 4 - 11pm.

Mark Your Calendar! Golden Giving Days: Community Market
Each quarter we will focus on one local non-profit to donate our time to! This
quarter we will be focusing on The Community Market. We will spend our
time stocking the shelves for customers to shop the next day. Each volunteer will
receive a free t-shirt.
Wednesday, November 1st, 2 - 4pm at The Community Market (3810 Pepperell
Pkwy., Opelika) Limited to 15 volunteers.

“Family” Feud
Family Feud is an American television game show, currently hosted by Steve
Harvey, where two families compete to name the most popular responses to sur-
vey questions in order to win cash and prizes. In our version we will draw to see who will be our team (family) and com-pete to see who will win some exciting
gift cards (sorry, no cash or cars awarded here). Join in the fun for our first ever
“Family” Feud!
Wednesday, November 8th, 6 - 9pm $5 to cover the cost of dinner.

Come hang out with us on select Wednesday afternoons each month and
enjoy making a seasonal craft with step-by-step instruction from Gabby! This month we will be making decorative napkin rings
for your Thanksgiving Table.

Movie Night: The Zookeeper’s Wife
In 1939 in Poland, Antonina Zabinski and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski run a zoo. The Warsaw Zoo flourishes under Jan's stewardship and Antonina's care. When their country is invaded by the Nazis, Jan and Antonina are forced to report to the Reich's newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck. The Zabinskis covertly begin
working with the Resistance and put into action plans to save the lives of hundreds
from the Warsaw Ghetto.
