1. EAST Alliance for Students with Disabilities (EAST2) is a project dedicated to improving the quality of science, math, and
technology education and opportunities for students with disabilities. EAST2 is conducting research on the impact of their program activities. The EAST staff and researchers at Education Development Center are conducting the study. You participated in a Geocaching Camp recently. We are asking you to complete a brief, 15minute survey now that you have finished the Camp. There will be no right or wrong answers. By completing the survey, you will help to inform the efforts of EAST2 to make sure that the Geocaching Camp is effective in improving science, math, and technology education and opportunities for students with disabilities. When we are finished with this study we will write a report about what we learned. While we are asking you to give your name on the surveys, our report will not include your name or even mention that you were in the study. Your parent(s)/guardian(s) know that we are going to ask you to complete the surveys but we want to let you make your own decision to participate or not. You do not have to be in this study if you do not want to be and it is even okay if you decide to stop after we begin. You can ask questions at any time. You can talk to your teacher, your parents, or anyone who is a part of the research team at any time during the study. Here is a telephone number to reach us if you have any questions: Dr. Babette Moeller (212) 8074205.
