Early Elementary is a proud supporter of our military. Each year students from 3rd grade adopt a soldier that is a prior graduate of Early High School. These students send letters and care packages during their deployment. One of these adopted soldiers is Specialist Cameron Coley, who graduated from Early High School in 2008. He is from the 173rd 1/503 Airborne Brigade Combat Team, stationed in Vicenza, Italy. Specialist Coley recently was in town for a visit and came to visit with the students. What a welcome he re-ceived when he walked into the school! The students were lined down the hallways, waving flags and clapping as he walked past them greeting his student as the song “Hero” was being played. EISD wants to give Specialist Coley along with all of our other military a

big THANK YOU! Specialist Coley, shared some of his hats that were worn during training with Marshall Stovall and 3rd grade teacher, Mar-cia Deen (top left). In the bottom right corner, Specialist Coley and Mrs. Deen’s 3rd grade class salute all soldiers for all that they do for

our country! Specialist Coley receiving a warm welcome as he comes to visit with the students at EES (bottom left).

High School Regional Track Qualifiers (from p. 1) We have 5 girls and 11 boys who have qualified to participate in the Regional Track Meet to be held in Odessa, Texas on April 27 and 28. These athletes have worked hard, sacrificed time, and been role models to their fellow-students. The extra time spent in their athletic activities meant many late nights at track meets, maintaining grades, and a pride in wanting to WIN, proving that with hard work, determination, sore muscles, and many nights of little sleep, these athletes have enjoyed success. They have run, jumped and thrown, faster and further than the competition to EARN this honor. Morgan Birrell, Aubrey Horton, Chelsea Johnston, Hannah McDaniel, Sarah Smithey, Payton Ashworth, Jake Fisher, Geron Gowdy, Grant Gowdy, Rowdy Happney, Tucker King, Bran-don Kramer, Matt Lewis, Josh Sims, Tim Wade and alternates, Charlie Tongate, and Phillip Whitley. We coaches have enjoyed working with each of you and wish you the best at the Regional Track Meet.- Sean Pahira, Darren Bailey, Mike Sharp, Mike Tumlin-son, Kristi Sandoval, Sue Wells

The teams had a prescribed task to do and have been programming their robots for months prior to the competition. Con-gratulation to the team for representing Early Elementary Robotics with such class at the competition. They all worked hard to achieve this honor for the school.
