SPECIAL PURPOSE FLASHERS

PF1224-10 ELECTRONIC POWER FLASHER This Unit was designed to flash Headlights on Police Cars and Emergency Vehicles. It has many other uses but should not be used to drive Relays etc. LAMP LOAD & SPEC: 2 X 60 WATT @ 12VOLT 4 X 75 WATT @ 24VOLT 4 PIN

530-SS ELECTRONIC FLASHER This Unit was designed to operate 3 X 24V 21W Bulbs and a maximum of 6 in Hazard Mode. The Lamp overload feature reduces the flash-rate to 1 operation every 4 seconds if the total load exceeds 6.5 bulbs. The flash-rate increases in frequency if only 1 X 21W bulb is connected and the ‘S’ Terminal is unconnected. If 3 Lamps are connected and the ‘S’ Terminal is connected to zero volts (- 0V) the flash-rate will increase when only 2 bulbs remain connected. With the ‘S’ terminal unconnected, the ‘P’ Terminal will operate when 2 bulbs are connected. When the ‘S’ Terminal is connected to zero volts (- 0V), the ‘P’ Terminal operates when 3 lamps are connected. The Unit is available in a choice of 2 Case styles - 530-DIN and 530-SS

E996 VARIABLE TIMED INTERRUPTER This unit was originally designed to flash a 3 LED Seat Belt warning sign for a period of time after the coach door is closed. The Timed Period can be set to any value between 5 seconds and about 3 minutes. A multi-turn preset is used to provide easy and accurate adjustment giving approximately 9 seconds per turn. It will work with voltages from 9V to 30V and is capable of interrupting the power to a 500mA maximum load.

Suggested Adjustment Method: 1. First measure the timed period and make a note of its value (Time old). 2. To calculate the number of turns use the following formula:

Turns = (Time wanted – Time old) / 9. A positive value means turn the adjuster clockwise a negative value means turn the adjuster anti-clockwise

3. After adjusting the preset measure the Timed Period (Time old) 4. If timed period is accurate enough then finish if not repeat 2 and 3 above.

E237 24V LAMP SIMULATOR

With the introduction of L.E.D. Lighting and low wattage bulbs, a problem has arisen in that L.E.D.s do not draw sufficient current for the Hazard Flashers to operate correctly. It may therefore be necessary for operator’s to fit a Lamp Simulator to enable the Hazard Flashers to work correctly. The Lamp Simulator works by making a pair of 5W 24V Bulbs behave electrically like a pair of 21W 24V Bulbs.
