Operator StationDesigned for comfort and ease of operation.

Hydraulically Tilting Cab Support.Hydraulically tilting cab support allowsthe cab to be tilted back from 0 to 30°to further improve upward visibility.This feature allows the operator to adopta more comfortable body position. The tiltable cab is integrated in theupper frame so that tilt parts are notexposed to the demolition environment.

Falling Object Guard. An ISO10262:1998 certified falling objectguard on top and front of the cab isstandard. The crossbars of the top guardare angled in line with the operator’ssight for enhanced visibility of the worktool. The front guard swings out foreasier windshield cleaning.

Ergonomic Control Placement.The operator work station is quiet withergonomic control placement andconvenient adjustments, low lever andpedal effort, ergonomic seat design andhighly efficient ventilation. The result is a cab that puts the operatorfirmly and comfortably in control to enhance productivity.

High Visibility Cab. The front window isone-piece and flat with top and bottommounted wipers. High visibility cabwith the front window made out oflaminated safety glass. For enhancedupward visibility the increased impactresistant top window extendscompletely to the front and has a wiperand washer. The upper left side doorwindow can slide open. The lowerwindow provides visibility to the tracksand to the ground next to the machine.The rear window offers a good viewbehind and to the left, aided by a lowhood profile.

Undercarriage and StructuresDurable undercarriage absorbs stresses and provides excellent stability.

HydraulicsCat hydraulics deliver power and precise control to keep material moving.

PPPC Hydraulics. Load sensing, ProportionalPriority Pressure Compensation (PPPC) system,with Caterpillar-developed electronic actuation,provides high efficiency and excellent controllability.� Cylinder speed is directly related to operator’s

movement of joystick from feathering to full speed.� Flow to cylinders during multifunctional

operation is directly controlled by the operatorand is not dependent on loads.

� Controller reduces pump output to minimum tosave power when joysticks are in neutral position.

Main Pumps. Large, heavy-duty mainpumps and a separate swing pumpprovide quick cycle times duringmulti-function operation.

Heavy Lift Feature. The heavy liftfeature is standard and allows lifting of heavy objects with precision.

Biodegradable Hydraulic Oil.Biodegradable hydraulic oil isavailable as an option.

Reverse Swing Damping Valve.Swing dampening valvesreduce swing wag and producesmooth swing stops.

Auxiliary Hydraulic Valve.The auxiliary valve is standard.

Undercarriage Components. Large,Caterpillar designed and built under-carriage components offer heavy-dutyperformance and durability.

Sealed and Lubricated Rollers. Trackrollers, carrier rollers and idlers are sealedand lubricated for excellent service life.

Idler Guards and Track Guides. Two-piece full-length track guidingguards are standard for additionalprotection.

Travel Motor. Two-speed axial pistonhydraulic motors provide the drive powerand automatic speed selection when the

Face-to-Face Ball Valves.The hydraulic lines between boom footand boom nose are fitted with face-to-face ball valves. Oil spillage andcontamination is reduced thanks to the face-to-face design.

Lowering Control Devices.For increased safety and controllabilitylowering control devices are installed on all boom and stick cylinders.

Electronic Warning Device.An electronic warning device signals the operator when the main boom getsout of the recommended working range.

Tool Cylinder Protection. The toolcylinder is protected against fallingdebris by a heavy duty sheet metal cover to prevent cylinder rod damageand increase uptime.

Boom Hook System. The front parts areequipped with a reliable and safe hooksystem between the boom foot and boomnose. Compared to the traditional pin-mounted joint, the hook systemsignificantly reduces the time needed to change between the Ultra-high frontparts and the short retrofit configuration.In principle, the boom hook systemconsists of a hook system to pick up thefront parts and a mechanical expanderpin to secure these front parts onto theboom foot. The absence of any hydraulicparts, as well as a full length heavy dutyone-piece securing pin, ensures a safeand reliable operation. The operator hasan excellent view of the hook systemfrom the cab to ease changing the frontparts.

Special Stand. Special stand to supportlong boom or short retrofit boom whenchanging configuration.

Dedicated Ultra-High DemolitionLinkage. Because Ultra-high demolitionapplications require a different workingenvelop than standard applications, apurpose designed linkage is standard onthe Ultra-high demolition front parts.Besides providing an optimized workingenvelop, this linkage also greatlyimproves controllability in nearly everyposition.
