9. TESTS
Cables shall be workshop tested in accordance with applicable standards. The minimum scope of tests shall include:
Measurement of insulation resistance Measurement of sheathing and protecting layers thickness (sample only) Continuity test
Moreover, test certificates shall be provided, proving that each cable type to be used hassuccessfully passed all special and type tests as required by the applicable standards during the last12 months before award of contract. Otherwise, these tests have to be repeated on samplesections.
10.DOCUMENTATION
To refer to specification N° 91-463037.
11.NOTE
Before cable shipment, Cable supplier shall inform GE about the cable distribution versus drums(cable type length per drum) for GE to check/confirm the correct distribution with regard to the
project minimum required length.Cable distribution information has to be given in the shortest time after cable order receipt in orderto minimize impact on ex-work date in case of GE comments relating to cable drums organisation. This to avoid having delivered cable drums with unusable cable length.
