Aviva Klompas was a speechwriter and adviser for Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Ron Prosor. She was responsible for all speeches delivered by the State of Israel to the UN Security Council, General Assembly, and other UN venues.

Prior to joining Israel’s Mission to the UN, Aviva served as a Senior Policy Adviser for the government in Toronto, Canada.

Aviva has a Masters of Public and Non-Profit Management and Policy from New York University and an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.

PROFESSOR MIRIAM GOLDSTEIN is the department chair of Arabic Language and Literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research focuses on Judeo-Arabic literature as well as interreligious relations among Jews, Christians and Muslims in the medieval Arabic-speaking world.

February 26: Nelly Sachs was a German-Swedish poet and playwright. Her experiences resulting from the rise of the Nazis in World War II Europe transformed her into a poignant spokesperson for the grief and yearnings of her fellow Jewish people.

March 18: Nadine Gordimer was born into a privileged, white middle-class family during the South African Apartheid, and she used her privilege to shine a light on the racial disparity during this time.

April 30: Bob Dylan is one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 20th century, known for songs that chronicle social and political issues.

DR. AVIVAH GOTTLIEB ZORNBERG is an author and winner of the National Jewish Book Award. She was born in London and grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, where her father was a Rabbi and the head of the Rabbinical Court. She studied Torah with him from childhood. She holds a BA and PhD in English Literature from Cambridge University. For the past thirty years, she has taught Torah in Jerusalem. She travels widely, lecturing in Jewish, academic, and psychoanalytic settings.

Sivan Rahav-Meir - Israeli TV personality Sivan Rahav Meir is an Israeli television and print journalist, author and radio and TV host. She is the most influential female media personality in Israel.

February 10th, 2019.:

Rob Oliphant, Member of Parliament The Rev. Dr. Robert Oliphant was elected to the House of Commons in 2015 representing federal riding of Don Valley West. In 2019 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. An Ordained Minister in the United Church of Canada, he has a Masters and a Doctorate of Divinity, and served congregations in several provinces.

DOVID BASHEVKIN is the director of education for NCSY, the youth movement of the Orthodox Union, and an instructor at Yeshiva University, where he teaches courses on public policy, religious crisis, and rabbinic thought. He completed rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, as well as a Master's degree at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies focusing on the thought of Rabbi Zadok of Lublin under the guidance of Dr. Yaakov Elman. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Public Policy and Management at The New School's Milano School of International Affairs, focusing on crisis management. David has been rejected from several prestigious fellowships and awards.
