MAY & JUNE REPORTDuring May & June we made visits to our Corporate Partners to deliver plaques and were invited to attend & speak at a few places around NWA.

Plaque PresentationLaura Carlsen, one of our Master’s program students, presented a plaque to Unilever to thank them for being one of four gold sponsors during the Corporate Appreciation Luncheon.

Plaque PresentationNWA Sales & Marketing Group received a plaque on May 29. The group was a first time sponsor of the Corporate Appreciation Luncheon.

Plaque PresentationOn May 21, we presented a plaque to amp Sign & Banner. They printed our new marketing boards for the Corporate Appreciation Luncheon.

Plaque PresentationWayne Gunnels from Advantage Sales & Marketing Group came to our office to receive a plaque on June 11.

Plaque PresentationCornerStone Healthcare was recognized June 13 for their long-time support and participation with the program.

Scholarship DonationOn June 13, we received a check from Bank of America. The donation will go toward scholarships. It will help fund students entering the program the upcoming fall semester.

On June 3rd, Aana Hazelip-Sears joined our team as the Administrative Assistant/Donor Relations. We are very excited to have her!

Aana is originally from a small town west of St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Fayetteville to finish her B.A. in English. She currently lives in Fayetteville with her two children and boyfriend of 5 years.

Thank you for all the in-kind gifts!!! Our students loved them!

We received lots of goodies during May. Vi-Jon gave us lots of personal care products.

A special thanks to the students and their children who helped unload and organize spices and to the Saint Vincent de Paul 7th grade girls that inventoried and barcoded products.

McCormick donated 4 pallets of spices! Gibson Overseas set us up with kitchen and bathroom ware and Spectrum Brands delivered a truckful of small appliances.

We received 230 items from the Coupon Club of NWA. It was a first-time donation.

Spirits for Scholarships

We want to give a special thanks to the WIN ladies for organizing the event. We also want to thank all of you who came to support us at “Spirits for Scholarships” on June 14. We had a great time and celebrated in style with a DJ, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and a fun photo booth. We had the opportunity to meet people from all over NWA.

VolunteerOpportunitiesAdvisory Council

The Advisory Council is comprised of community members who promote SPSF/BC ideals and principles. They meet at noon, five times a year. Meetings are only 1-hour, always on Wednesdays and lunch is provided.

Corporate Council The Corporate Council develops ideas, strategies, and improvements for SPSF/BC programming and encourages the involvement of other businesses and supplier teams. They meet at noon, five times a year. Meetings are only 1-hour, always on Fridays and lunch is provided.

Dining for DegreesOn July 20, we had a “food-raiser” at Crabbys . We raised $450 for scholarships. Thank you Crabbys!

It costs $550 to send a half-time student to school for 1 semester. To help us raise the extra $100 we need, please press the donate now button on the next page.
