FUTURE CAREER Career: Accountant What Does an Accountant Do?

An accountant keeps track of a company’s money. They write reports on how the company is doing and they are analyzed by different people. Accountants are in very high demand right now too.

Education: This career field requires at least a bachelors degree in

accounting or business. This is a specialized program learning to use different programs and calculators to figure numbers. There is a lot of numbers involved and solving problems when the total does not come out right. A CPA is also required by most and it is just a test to be certified.

Future Job Outlook: I wish to work in a larger company and do all the calculating

for their money. I love working with numbers and I feels as though this would be a perfect career choice for me.

I feel that throughout my life I have strived to always be the best I can be.

I may try and push my self a little to far some times, but it has made me who I am. I have to balance a lot of activities, but not keeping busy is not who I am.

I know how far I can push my self until it is too much and I know I have to step down at that point because otherwise everything could be a disaster.
