Change in Video Streaming Service Provid-
ers – Our current provider, Sunday Streams, will be
transitioning to BoxCast beginning January 14th and
will be rolled out to the congregation starting with
January 26th’s worship services. Our hope is the tran-
sition will run smoothly but there are some notable
differences:
• BoxCast has ONLY apps on Amazon Firestick
and Roku (not iOS or Android)
• Only 30 days of data will be available at any giv-
en time on BoxCast.
The access to streaming for the church website will
remain in the same place, so only the look of the
website will change once you click on the
link. Please see the next E-Memo (Jan. 23rd) for fur-
ther details.
It’s 2020! Please begin using your 2020 Offering Envelopes. If you have any prior year envelopes, please dispose of them. ONLY USE your NEW 2020 envelopes. Thanks.
If you don’t have your 2020 envelopes, be sure to pick them up in the narthex the next time you are at church.

Bethel’s Mission $$ At Work
At Thanksgiving, Disciples of the Way invited 34 refugee neighbors to come to a fellowship meal. We started with a time of gratitude where everyone was encouraged to share something they were thankful for. Many were thankful to be living in peace in America but also wanted to ask for prayer for relatives and citizens in their home countries. Refugees are displaced from their homes because of violence, war, famine, etc. Safety, security, and peace are prized by refugees because of the turmoil they have experienced.
Pastor Karim shared about the true peace that comes from Jesus Christ. We cannot have peace with each other until we have peace with God.
On December 9th, DOW celebrated Christmas with our Mothers & Children Event for immigrant mothers with young children. As we are approaching Christmas, we hear the same story over and over again and we can become numb to the extraordinary birth of Christ and what that means for us all.
Muslims hear the Christmas story differently. Muslims believe that Mary was a virgin and that Jesus had no father as it is described in the Qur'an. They believe that Jesus was the greatest teacher and prophet. But Jesus is so much more. Jesus is the peace of God. He is the reason for safety, security, and hope in this world.
Dear Bethel,
Thank you so much for your support of Breathe Life and our family!
Merry Christmas!

God brought peace to us and now we can bring peace to each other.
Disciples of the Way Ministries Staff are living out God's peace for the glory of the Triune God. Through the witness of our lives of service, many refugees are experiencing the difference that the Holy Spirit makes in daily life.
Thank you for your support.

Dear Bethel, Many, many thanks for the pretty and comforting prayer quilt. It is a pleasing visual reminder of “apples of gold in settings of silver.” And thank you to our elder, Greg Montgomery, for taking the time to visit and deliver the quilt. Blessings! Fran Beard
Dear Bethel Family,
On behalf of BISD’s Pregnancy Related Services, we wanted to say a tremendous “Thank You” for supporting our program.
Your overwhelming generous donations helped us fulfill our mission to support and en-courage teen parents to remain in school and pur-sue post-secondary educational goals, empowering them to become productive citizens. You helped us reward hard working teen mothers with infant supplies, gifts and gift cards that will help them worry less about finances and more about their studies.
Many thanks go out to the abundant dia-pers, wipes and bottles from the Men’s Bible group. They are an absolute true blessing!
A special thanks to Connie and Emily Bard for coordination of the Angel Tree gifts and distri-bution. They made all of this possible.
Thanks also to Randy Moerbe, Jeff Bellach and Katie Bentley for helping with the Angel Tree and distribution of gifts.
The LWML generous gift of Bibles will truly empower and encourage the student’s love of Christ. I am so blessed and honored to be part of this church that is so full of the true meaning of Christmas, our Loving, Selfless and Giving Savior – Jesus!
Sincerely,
Joyce Dyer Jones

Living with Grief
Learn how to cope with Grief
Sundays, at 4PM At Bethel in Room 232
Register online at www.blcbcs.org
We will be hosting a biblical study for those
who have suffered the loss of a loved one fol-
lowing a nationally recognized curriculum spon-
sored by GriefShare. This program is designed
to encourage us to look at our loss and its impact
on our lives from God’s perspective. We will
learn that grief is a natural response to the loss
of a loved one and that there is relief, purpose,
and joy in the future.
There are 13-weekly sessions based on video,
bible study, and discussion in which we learn to
accept and manage our feelings, emotions, and
change in our lives. You are invited to attend as
many sessions as you like and are under no obli-
gation to attend all sessions. Please join us for
an upbeat and refreshing understanding of what
God has done for us and his plan for our lives.
Refreshments will be served and each partici-
pant will receive a participant guide. Other re-
source materials are available. Registration is
requested to ensure that enough materials are
available for each participant.
