abitare_RE-COMPOSITIONUtilizing a magazine cover of choice, a re-composition study is born. The original (left) floats volumes and creates void. The first study (above) extrudes elements, attempting to enhance the composition, all while experimenting with (Ps).

abitare_RE-COMPOSITION, RELIEF MODELDesaturating color freed the spirit of making. Above,

further query into the idea of volume versus void gelled into a composition that was later modeled on a

4"x4" scale, using white museum board. The composition was an extrusion of an area that was

facinating.

formations_PROPOSED SUPERGRAPHIC, 170"X72"George Pearl Hall is a teaching facility, where asthetic is drawn from the un-finished, yet, one finished wall, in relatively prime location, is blank, painted white. "Formations" is a proposal for a supergraphic that tries to encapsulate the ideology of one school: The University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning.

Given the diversity of the programs (Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Community + Regional Planning) challenges lied in a strategy to synthesize a composition and message of three seemingly similar programs, while respecting each division's unique contribution. As a paradox, the composition is also concious of the possibility of priojecting such an ideology, therby shaping future cross-disciplinary moments.

the edge at johnson field_SITE PLAN, DIAGRAMSIt is tempting to realize life-like drawings that describe studio work. The problem is that the eye is clever and knows when it is being lied to.

Utilizing the qualities of abstraction and the tools aquired to this point, these drawings execute in studio the techniques learned in communications.

the edge at johnson field_RENDERINGSThis studio project proposed a pavillion along the East edge of Johnson field. It

reacted to the experience of the user, primarily runners who had little shade from the sun, managing the spontaneous crosser of the running trail, and the

ability to enjoy the delights of solar and spatial phenomena

Desaturating, using layers, and adding transparency were some of the techniques used to enhanced each of these compositions.
